However, the catalog sent me a 20% off coupon which was a better deal so I took a chance and ordered something I'd been admiring. The box they sent my items in was very tall which was surprising because the items I ordered were small; less than 7 inches in height. The individual items were placed in one long piece of styrofoam. While the styrofoam did help the items arrive safely, it was messy and flakey and got all over my floor which I then had to vacuum right away. Another thing about styrofoam is that it is not biodegradable. I wish they used greener shipping materials. I believe sustainability is an important value to today's consumers. The items I ordered did look like the picture. However, the material was not as expected. I decided these wouldn't work for me so I, sadly, had to return them. I called the company to get a return label. It did not come in the box. The quote seemed high so I went to the post office to see if I could get a lower price. The post office price was exactly the same and even though the weight of the items was only a few pounds, the size of the box made it more costly to ship back which I felt could have been avoided due to the size of the individual items not being very large. It would have been a mess for me to take everything out and repackage it due to the styrofoam. I inquired why they did not have discounted labels. They said that my label was discounted. I told them their discounted label was the same price as the post office. They let me know that it was a discounted FedEx label. In my situation, the FedEx price was originally more than the USPS price. There was no option to get a discounted USPS label. Shipping is also taxed with this company so that adds on to an already high shipping cost. Also, it says on their website if you get free shipping and make a return that you then have to pay for shipping again both ways so I'm glad I had the 20% off coupon instead. There are positive things about this company which I must mention. The order did arrive in a timely manner. They were very responsive to my e-mails and calls. They also were very quick to refund my money (minus the expensive shipping costs). I felt they were honest with what their policies were and they were always polite when I called them. When it comes to catalogs online, I value low cost shipping on items and returns especially since I can't see the items in person first. I'm glad I tried this company and satisfied my curiosity but due to the high cost of returning my item, I don't think I will order from them again.

They had candles, jewelry and a small selection of furniture. All in all it was a reasonably priced. The exposed brick walls and tall ceilings give the shop a nice feel.

One of the many things I adore about this place is that they host local artists from all around the area which is a lovely way to support local business! The owner of the shop also travels overseas to 3rd world countries like Tanzania, bringing back some of their beautiful works to display and sell and then makes sure that all proceeds go back to them. For those 2 facts alone, I will continue to shop here and support Greentree. What comes around goes around!! The company insisted on having photos of the front of the rug and the label on the bottom. These were to be e-mailed to the head of customer service. Nothing happened for about a week. I asked again for the rug I had ordered and for a label to send back the incorrect rug. One employee said she didn't see why the right rug couldn't be sent before I returned the wrong rug. Finally on Monday, February 21, I was told that I couldn't get the correct rug until I had sent back the incorrect rug. It was company policy. After I left several messages, the head of customer service called me on February 22, She apologized for her delay in returning my call. She said I would receive a mailing label, but I would need to submit a new order. She did that after I gave her my credit card number. To take almost a month to resolve a simple issue was abysmal service.

The store is very well stocked and organized, making locating the specific merchandise you are looking for easy. We have found the store clean and well staffed on every visit. What really stands out to put this location as a winner is the amazing customer service we have received from every staff member we encounter. As an example, this past Sunday, we were traveling out of town and in Jasper. It was early and we arrived as the store opened so my wife could find a pair of Asics tennis shoes she has been looking for in her size with a specific color theme. We had been unsuccessful in finding the exact shoe she wanted in her size in any other store. We did not see a match and were starting to walk back toward the door, and a female staff member stopped and asked if there was anything she could help us find. We told her no, we needed 6.5 woman's shoe in a certain style and they did not have it. She offered to look for us and said at times, customers will put a box in the wrong location. A few moments later she returned with the exact shoe my wife wanted in a size 6.5 and it fit like a glove. The five-star customer service did not stop there, when we went to the counter, the young lady at the register helped us with adding up several Kohl's Cash receipts to give us a total of $25 off our purchase price. The bottom line, we can buy Asics Shoes from any retailer for the same cost. We can also go directly to the Asics website and purchase directly. As a customer, we have many, many choices. We chose to continue to patronize Kohl's because of their fantastic customer service, even if the price is different. Other Kohl's stores should look at this Jasper, Indiana location and work to mimic what they do every day to WOW their customers.
