Paula, the current owner is so friendly, she is a pleasure to deal with. She has a very discerning eye, so everything is in great condition or new or like new. I love shopping consignment because there are so many one-of-a-kind items. She carries women's & Mens (!) clothes, jewelry, shoes, handbags, accessories, & some housewares, art & books. She recently revamped the store so it's easy to find the areas you are interested in. I love that the men have their own cozy room. Everyone in there, from the staff to the customers are so friendly, I sometimes feel like it's like a neighborhood pub, without the drinks. I also scored beautiful cream wool placemats with the word Noel embroidered in silver metallic thread and surrounded by beads! The staff is so friendly, helpful, and happy! We came here once before to see if we could find six cocktail glasses and were rewarded with a big selection of sizes, styles, and price range! On impulse I also bought a spice rack organizer which leads to a cautionary tale about shopping at thrift shops. After a good amount of time trying to assemble it I realized that pieces were missing. Hopefully this was an inadvertent error on the part of the donor in gifting what was essentially a worthless item. Can't blame Treasures because they can't be expected to open and examine every $10 item. Still 5 stars in my book. Also: they have a Dutch auction system where certain things get markdowns on predetermined dates. So if you want to take your chances, you may get that desired item even cheaper.... or, it may be sold out from under you. But that's Saratoga for you.

Today I went in and she was mad when I came in even though they were open for business. She kept saying under her breath shd had some stuff to do in her corner. She was angry about watching me and my sister as we were shopping because we she believed we would steal. You would think that as a returning customer she would know by now we are not like that. Sh then chose to talk behind my back to another worker about how I was just "browsing around" and not buying. Of course I have to "browse around" when there is a ton of stuff to sift through!!! She is a very racist women I would say based on my religion and the way I dress. My sister who has Down Syndrome went in with me last month. My sister was tired and sat on one of the old chairs. The same lady goes off my sister ranting with another worker yet again not realizing my sister has a disability. She said "why are they sitting if they won't buy". I'm disappointed at the lack of respect given to me as a customer. I will no longer go here again despite the good finds unless I am given an apology. A quaint shop alone the main drag in Ballston Spa. I was a bit surprised walking in, but it was…read morealso clear this was a professional lamp repair shop. I had a lamp base that required wiring, a cap, harp and shade. Imagining it would be staggeringly expensive, particularly since this shop has no competition in the Capital Region, I was floored by how reasonable the costs were. The turnaround was a month, which factoring the need to order parts I thought was quite reasonable. Picking up the lamp I was quite pleased by how it turned out. A total win. The downside (from my personal convenience) was that it required a long round trip (twice) to get the project done. I was simply thrilled, however, to find the shop in a feasible proximity. The two times I have been there I have found parking immediately in front of the store, despite the rest of the downtown being densely packed (quite the luck since a pub is next door.) Driving in from the Northway the shop is on the other side of the street, and in light of dense and aggressive traffic finding the opportunity to turn around is challenging. This shop is a seriously nice find. Were I at a point in life where I didn't have a house packed full, I might have looked at the many antiques for sale (Very late 19th/early 20th century) I have another lamp I need to get rewired, but I think I'll wait till Spring; driving into Ballston Spa while scenic, is a bear.
