The first and last time I use this company. The guy that showed up was not professional and didn't seem to know what he was doing. He was supposed to swap out one of the sprinkler valves. He didn't seem to be able to do it in a timely fashion, and then said that because he was struggling, and it took longer than he thought it was going to he would have to charge me overtime. This is because it was getting dark and it was after hours. He failed to recognize that he was two hours late showing up and that if he would've showed up on time, it would not have been an issue. Additionally, he struggled to install it and ended up cracking one of the other pipes, which ended up leaking and then needing to be replaced as well. Poor quality service. Avoid. read more

The irrigation system in my backyard was leaking. They came for an diagnosis to find the problem. The company told me they would fix it by replacing the manifold in the backyard. I agreed and gave them my credit card info, and we scheduled a day for them to do the work. 1. The workers were supposed to arrive between 1 and 3 pm. They arrived one hour late, at 4 pm. 2. They were starting to work on the manifold in the front yard, asking my girlfriend if it is okay to cut branches of the fig tree above the manifold. But the manifold in the front yard is fine. It is the manifold in the backyard that needs to be replaced. They were going to fix a working manifold, and leave the broken one alone. I no longer have confidence in the communication, organization, and competence of the management and workers in your company. I told the men to go home. read more

The technician, James L., was exceptionally professional and efficient as he put my sprinkler system and irrigation in service yesterday. Having done much of the work myself in installing soaker hoses, drip lines and emitters I made quite a few mistakes. James was surprisingly kind and simply went about making the repairs. I highly recommend Just Sprinklers and James L. In particular for their keeping the appointment as well as the reasonable cost. read more

Not pleased! I Couldn't get a straight answer on what needed fixed and replaced now and why and what was going to break or leak in the future. Finely I told the guy to replace what was broken NOW and make it all work correctly NOW and to give me an estimate on what needed replaced in the future. He said he did...he said," I fixed the entire drip system (specifically the courtyard? "Yes") and all the sprinklers work well!" So, when I discovered that the entire court yard of flowers drip system doesn't work, another planter with a drip system shooting up 6 foot and the other drip system in that planter not working. AND the output on several of the sprinklers is questionable! Oh, and here's the estimate for future repairs, that as he said, "Might Brake". read more

We developed a leak in our drip irrgation connection. My husband di a lot of the hard work, diggging it out, determining where the primary leak was and getting the appropriate part. The day our repair was scheduled, our appointment was moved from 8-11 AM to 5-6 PM, no apologies. The tech arrived after 5, found another leak nearby and reconnected our system. Here's the not good part. Because he arrived after 5, and it was the last job of the day, he was not present when it came time to test the plumbing for leaks after the sealant set. Well, surprise! It leaked. When I called the office, the person manning the phones suggested a let it run awhile to see if it kept leaking. Seriously? I let it run for a bit, but the leak did not go away. Hubby will be doing this on his own, and we are out $250+ dollars. The moral is, Just Sprinklers has great supplies, but not so great techs. read more

We ordered a half cord of firewood; prepaid and set aside a morning to take delivery and stack it. The truck arrived with bagged loose wood on a pallet. The delivery was less than HALF the amount I had been sold (for $400)--the 3'x3'x3' bag = 27 cu. ft.; a half cord is twice that volume @ 4'x4'x4' (64 cu. ft.)!!. The courteous driver phoned his manager who said to me: "That bag is what we call a half cord". That's what the world calls lousy math or crooked business. I should have reviewed this business months ago but I don't like writing reviews when I am angry. We had work done by this business in September of 2020 and spent quite a bit of money with them. We were initially happy as the equipment they put in looked good and worked well. As soon as the weather turned a little cooler, the above ground pipe had a major leak and luckily we were home so we were able to turn the valve off and therefore didn't have any damage outside in the yard. When we called the business we were informed it was a result of something we hadn't done when the weather turned cooler. Whatever was going on was not covered by warranty (even though they hadn't come out to see what was going on) and they would be happy to come out for a charge and they could schedule to come out in approximately a week. We were stunned at their response! When you spend a lot of money to have something fixed/replaced, you expect the vendor to come back out when there is a problem. They did not! It had only been 7 to 8 weeks since they had performed the work. We would have been willing to pay a service fee if whatever was wrong wasn't under warranty but we did expect them to come look at the equipment that they recently had installed. We will never use this business again!!! The people who came out and did the work were very nice and I suspect it's a management/ administration issue that caused our problem- No Customer Service! In 2019, Just Sprinklers installed installed new sprinkler valves in both my front and back yards. The system in the front supplied a drip system and was simple with separate "cans" for the the valve and pressure reducer/filter. However, they didn't leave enough room under the pressure reducer/filter to allow access to the filter and I had to dig it out myself. The installation of the system in the back was a disaster. They told us we needed a $700 reduced pressure backflow preventer (RPZ) instead of just a normal vacuum breaker. They installed the irrigation valves and RPZ, but they had to come back and repair the installation four times because they weren't allowing enough time for the glue to cure. Once they finally got the system installed they showed me how to winterize the RPZ, but that's it, no instruction manual or even a written guide on how to winterize it. I later found out that the RPZ wasn't designed for the pressure to it and, that it is against the Albuquerque Bernalillo County Water Utility Authority and NM regulations for me to repair or even perform maintenance on it. The Water authority says this about RPZ "To protect the public water system, any water customer that uses hazardous materials is required to install backflow prevention devices at the service connection." Unfortunately, by the time i found out about this, their 90-day warranty was over. read more

DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME!! My experience with Just Sprinklers has to be the worst experience I have had. My friend recommended the company to me which she spoke highly of her experience. I contacted the company to schedule a quote for grass. The appointment ended up being scheduled almost a month out. When the day came closer, I was looking forward to getting a quote to get my yard looking nice for the summer finally. I received a confirmation call the day before and was told the guy would arrive the next day. The following day, I get a call from a lady saying there was a mix-up and that Omar couldn't make the scheduled time. She asked if I could reschedule later that day, which I couldn't because of an already scheduled medical appointment. Then I was able to reschedule for Omar to come the following morning. Later, after my medical appointment, I received a call from a lady asking if the area I wanted a quote from is accessible for Omar to see. My response was no; the gate is locked. Then the lady asked if I could meet Omar any time soon. My response was no because I was on the other side of town, and I don't know how bad traffic is to head over. So then we agreed Omar would come at 5 pm on Thursday. Well, I rushed home and didn't hear from anyone until about 5:20 pm. The lady wanted to let me know that Omar couldn't be at my place until maybe 7-7:30 pm if that would be ok. My response, as I thought he was going to be here at 5 pm, the lady said--"oh, there was an emergency, and emergencies come first. Would that time be ok?" I said no-you guys have been messing around all week with me and the appointments. I have been waiting for someone to come for over a month already. Just forget it, I'll find someone else to do the job. And I hung up. So if I could, I would not have given any stars on this review. I will never recommend this company to anyone. This experience was terrible, and I wonder how many other people have been screwed over because of the customer service. This company needs to get their employees trained better with the scheduling and its customer service. Maybe hire and train more people who can give a quote because it seems that "Omar" is the only person capable of providing quotes and must be the only person running the business. I waited 4 weeks for a new sprinkler system quote. I'm probably looking at least a $10,000 system or more. My appointment was between 8am - 12 noon. Not once was I informed of a $350 estimate fee, during my initial call or the 2 follow up confirmation calls. At 9am the day of my appointment, I received a call asking for $350 or they will not come. Ed had 8 appointments scheduled that day 8 x $350 = $2,800. I had Just Sprinklers come out last June and replace my front and backyard valves. They actually did two quotes and they were absolutely wonderful. When it came to showing me how to maintain the system, they did a quick review, provided NO documentation and said to call if I had any issues and that they could come out and winterize the system if I wanted. I shut down and drained the backyard the way I remembered it from 4 months earlier and left it at that. When I turned on the system the other day, one of the valves had split. I looked at my invoice which stated it had a 1 year parts and labor warranty and stated no restrictions. This is the legal document showing that they did the work. He also stated that they didn't use industry standard materials that you can get at Home Depot or Lowes and I would need to buy the valve from them for $79.00. Where a 1" brass valve at Home Depot might cost $20.00. When the gentleman came out to look at the broken valve, he stated that I didn't winterize properly and that I should have had them come out to winterize. I informed him that the invoice states that it is a 1 year warranty for parts and labor with no restriction. He stated that the restriction is listed on the estimate. I then looked at the estimate and the estimate gives a 5 year parts and labor and sticks to restriction in. However, in a court of law, there would be confusion as to which paper is correct since there is two different time periods on the warranty. So I believe the courts would go after the invoice showing no restrictions and a 1 year parts and labor. This whole paperwork is a complete bait and switch. They will lie to your face and tell you incorrect information and blatantly flaunt the law. I have reached out to KOB with this information. read more

Bottom Line: Don't use these guys, you are better off calling someone from Craigslist. I was. How do you get 4 pages of 5 star reviews that are "not recommended"? The same way you come out to turn on some sprinklers and leave a $2400 quote for actual repair and a $400 bill for who knows what. I called someone from craigslist who charged me $100 for something Just Sprinklers refused to do unless I paid them $2500. Don't get me wrong, this was not just a difference of opinions or a matter of we chose a different route, these guys have some dishonest business practices, plain and simple. Here's my story One day I noticed a dry spot on my grass, I tried to turn on my sprinklers from the timer box, nothing happened. I happened to notice that the ac adapter that typically has wires wrapped around screws had one wire that had come loose, so I asked my husband to call the guys we had used in the past. Later that week, Just Sprinklers came out. Super Nice kid named Patrick. He looked at my system, I think he was a little bit scared of it, it may have been older than he was. He was working for about 15 minutes when I see all of the sprinklers on, so I go outside and say "great you got them all on" and he says no, I manually turned them on down in the hole and now they won't shut off. "I think you need a whole new system see that the knob to the emergency shut off valve is missing, and the timer box isn't getting any voltage to it, so the battery is the only thing that is keeping it on." I told him I am aware of that, it isn't that the box is bad, it is just that it needs the wire reattached and I left him to it. The next time I talked to him, he tells me that the timer box is indeed bad and it would be $200 for a new box and that would fix my problem. I told him I would have to ask my husband and let him know. In the mean time, he offered to call his boss to see if he had time to come and give me an estimate to replace my whole sprinkler system since it was so old. I told him I couldn't get a hold of my husband but replacing the timer box and fixing my problem would be great. So he did that. Then he waited for his boss, who was "just finishing up and would be here shortly" His boss came, nice guy. Told me all about how I needed a whole new system, again cited the missing knob and valve #4 that won't shut off now that they turned it on and is still leaking. Then he told me to listen to the sizzling leak, which I could hear. I could also hear when he jiggled the knob to show me he was trying to turn it completely off to stop the leak, and it actually worked. I don't think he was counting on it turning off, he then turned it again so it continued to leak (proving that I need a whole new system). I could feel the big gouge coming so I asked him to give me a quote for the replacement as well as what it would cost just to repair zone four, so I could get my sprinklers back on. He said, they don't really do that anymore, because the values have so many parts, they are too complicated to repair properly. So really my only option was to replace the whole system or find someone else. Since the only thing they could do was replace everything, I asked him to give me a quote to move the controls out of the walkway they are in right now, he said "sure that would probably only be a couple more bucks." Received the quote about 15 minutes later $1800 for the new system $2400 to move the box. I thanked them, and asked them if I could think about it. Then they handed me a bill for the box replacement $400?!?!?!?!? $200 for the box $90/hr for him to plug in the new box, manually turn off zone 4, and stand around waiting for his boss to arrive to give me a quote. They gave me short notice that they were so busy they could not keep my appt..I live close to the Eldorado area and they only come up here to Santa /Fe once a week even though they have a store up here. So we remade the appt. for the following week, today Wed. and they called so say they were coming but were a no show, and no other call. When I called to complain they/Benjamin, told me that we I live so far out of the way...not true, that..blah blah. These guys are thieves, especially if you're a single woman and they think you are incompetent and don't do your homework first. I was told I had two leaky valves and it would cost almost $1900 to replace two $30 valves and to rewire the box. My wires to sprinkler controls work fine.. Had another company come. One gasket on a valve needed replacing and the leak was actually at the sprinkler head. Didn't cost even half of what Just Sprinklers wanted to charge and the "work" they wanted to do would not have even fixed the problem. For the past few years I have purchased koi food and plants for my koi pond from them where I live in Santa Fe. I recently decided to have my existing koi pond upgraded and redesigned and asked if Just Sprinklers could do the work. To my great surprise they said YES. Within a few days, Eduardo, from their Albuquerque location, came to my house to discuss possibilities and give me an estimate. Eduardo was great to work with, and we soon agreed on a plan. Come springtime I discovered that no work had actually been done and there was considerable freeze damage caused by the lack of any winterizing being done. I had a very good experience with this company. The sprinkler repair man called prior to arriving, and he showed up on time, based on my appointment. I showed him several areas of concern in my yard and he diagnosed the failure. Once diagnosed, I was given an estimate and he went straight to work. In addition to replacing a failed solenoid, he repaired a few leaking sprinkler heads and made a bunch of adjustments to optimize the systems performance. Overall, I feel like I received a good value for my money and also a quality repair. read more

First off, good job! My wife and I purchased a home with an older RainBird sprinkler system already installed. We love our home and it's landscaping, but when spring time rolled around, that's when we knew we had a problem. The entire sprinkler system is automatic with three zones, two on bubblers and one for lawn. The drip zones didn't show any signs of failure, but the lawn was a huge problem. My only regret with Just Sprinklers is that I didn't call sooner! The tech showed up and went on his way. He was able to manually troubleshoot the problem and determined that the inconsistencies in sprinkler heads and a combination of leaks in the system severely decreased our water pressure to the point of failure. Now, my lawn is being consistently watered without the use of an inefficient hose sprinkler: me and/or the thing we bought at the store. It works great, just like new! Pro's: able to get me an appointment on the day I called and within their window. Job was done right the first time! Con's: explain what is due at time of service, so there are no surprises. Would like to know guarantee of work when I make an appointment. Also would be nice to know about how you folks do business, at the time of calling. Customer service is good, but could be great! Just Sprinklers winterized my drip system I asked them to check the system out first and also check to see if I needed some heat tape on the exposed pipes/valve. The price was very reasonable - $79.99 for winterizing. However .... the only reason they didn't get 5 stars is that the tech actually added a heat package which included a fake rock, which I'm sure would be fine except it didn't really need the heat package. I got the invoice and it was over $400. Whoa! I was never told that was going to be done. So I emailed them and Johnnie called me right back and explained the charges and had the heat package removed and re-billed me for just the base charge. I'll use them in the Spring. read more

I must say from being a business owner out of this state in New Mexico, I look at this company and I quite laugh a bit. It's pitiful. I was recommended to look into this company for landscape and also to have sprinklers installed to be done at my Father's property. I was recommended by what I can say for myself a sweet, most kind spirited young lady who was a former employee at just sprinklers. It's so very unfortunate they no longer have her. Now the reason I laugh quite a bit is because from what I've heard and seen by visiting just sprinklers locations, it's poorly managed and un organized. I've looked at the wages to be a technician, installer, estimator, and a scheduler who holds part of the company together. It just sadly doesn't look so great for a business that came from the bottom which is not even halfway to the top I must say. It's just sad that the owner of this company must have complete high expectations to have such great, outstanding work done, but yet pays little to the heart of the company who collects the calls and sets appointments to have business going. I'd remarkably say how greedy, and selfish one can be for a business to make millions of dollars or less and expect workers to throw themselves off the cliffs to get work done efficiently. Just sprinklers is Just a Joke. It's only a company who will only succeed and will only stand in the state of New Mexico. To those reading this review, mark my words when I say they just want your money. It's a money hungry company. This post serves as a purpose to inform community members and citizens of Albuquerque, Rio Rancho and all other surrounding areas of my experience (terrible). Initially, I contacted Just Sprinklers in order to assist me with resolving an issue I had with my sprinklers. Just sprinkler responsed and sent A technician/employee within several days of my request. I was pleased with their response time however the following was unforeseen. For the remainder of this post, the technician that responded will be described as person 1. (I am not an expert in irrigation and I apologize in advance if my terminology is wrong.) Person 1 arrived and began his inspection. I left person 1 for several minutes unattended. When I returned to person 1, he informed me that one of my four pipes had rocks in it. Person 1 then continued his inspection. Person 1 removed a valve from one of the four spinklers. Person 1 informed me that there was dirt in the lines. Person 1 did not place the valve back together and left it dissembled which would later cause more dirt getting into the lines. I asked person 1 if we were able to flush out the lines. Person 1 informed me that essentially that was useless because dirt would keep getting into the lines. Person 1 informed me that he was unable to determine what the issue was and would have to come back at a later time. Person 1 also recommended placing a master system should help resolve the situation, $1800.00. Person 1 informed me that one of my pipes was not producing water and he was unable to determine why, it appeared that he did not want to continue to troubleshoot. I asked person 1 if he could also inspect another portion of my sprinkler system. Person 1 inspected the other portion and advised he was able to fix it real quick. It should be noted person 1 left without even fixing the portion of my sprinkler system mentioned in this paragraph. Person 1 informed me that he would have someone from the scheduling department reach out to me in order to establish a future date for service. I never received a follow up call, still to this day. I was left stranded. I contacted another company that was recommended from a family member. This company arrived and began their inspection. Immediately the issue was located.This company also inspected the pipe that allegedly was not producing water, this issue was resolved within seconds. The pipe that had rocks in it was the same pipe that was not producing water however after the other company checked my water sprinkler system, it ran as usual. The issue was resolved within (4) hours and only for $300.00 I do not recommend this company to ANYONE. The service that I received was poor, almost very costly and to me, a scam. I cannot imagine what other customers have gone through. read more

Called in and said we have a problem with our pump. Told them it tries to engage but won't switch on. We think it could be the starter but something is wrong with the pump. Told them it was the irrigation system off our well. The guy who showed up was very nice but said he had never worked on a well system so he was on the radio with the owner telling him what to do. After messing with the system he says it's the pump. I would need to call someone that works on pumps. Really?!?! Why was I not told this when I called and told them what the problem was? So, they wasted my time and they screwed me out of $107 for doing absolutely nothing. read more

I hired Just Sprinklers to install a Netifim underground watering system for a new lawn. It has not watered properly since installed. They did not follow the Netifim procedure but assured me it would be fine, it isn't and they refuse to fix it. I offered a solution of putting some feature stones over the areas that do not water and offered to put some money towards the stones. They refused that also. They are very good to deal with going into the job with plenty of assurances. Not so good on the problem end. They are not very knowledgeable in the area I hired them for and should never have taken the job. read more

This is in NM Called them on Monday, 10/1. Two drip systems in the back had a leak which I managed to shut off with the outside valve. Called Just Sprinklers since they;re stickers were all over the place in my home, figured the previous owner had used them. Told them the situation. We can be there maybe Friday they said. Whaaaaat?!?! This is kind of an emergency. Ok, outside line is shut off anyway. Guess I can wait. Found another guy that is used by quite a few people in the neighborhood. He came right over. Found the drip lines that were leaking. Went to Lowe's bought the supplies, came back, capped and rechecked the drips. Working again. Total cost, $60, and another $30 for the supplies. Wow! Called Just Sprinklers back to cancel Friday. They didn't even have me in the system, they had no knowledge of an appointment I had on Friday. Ah well, figures, then I guess I can't cancel an appointment that I don't even have. Have a nice day! Friday arrives, guess who shows up unannounced. Just Sprinklers. Worker starts off telling me how hard I am to get in touch with (probably had the wrong phone number). I'm like riiiight, told him what occurred on Monday. It was taken care of. So then he asks "So I guess we won't be doing any service for you?" Gee, what was your first clue? Total mess from the get go, probably would have told me I needed the whole system replaced for $2500 like everyone else on here. Went around taking their stickers off everything in my house and outside. Never going to use these guys...EVER read more

If I could rate Just Sprinklers any lower than 1 star, I certainly would. We spent over $2000 with them in the past few months, only to have our sprinkler and drip systems in much worse shape now than they were before Just Sprinklers started this "fix". We simply wanted to add one more station to our existing system. First, they sent out a rookie who had no idea what he was doing. Then they had to send a more experienced employee to not only fix what was done incorrectly, but try to complete our initial request. Still nothing. We spoke with management several times, each time being told he was "working on a resolution". Next we receive a quote for $5000 ++ to completely re-do our sprinkler system, with no explanation as to why or any resolution as to the $2000 already spent for absolutely nothing. After receiving the quote, never did we hear from management again. Total radio silence each time we would call to set a meeting with him. Needless to say, we will never use them again for anything. I guess I could have gotten a second opinion but I didn't since I was going to have to pay $100 just for the guy to look at my current system for 3 minutes and tell me that whole box unit would need to be replaced. He quoted $900 and I said for what and the estimator said there was 4 hours worth of labor and parts. All said and done it took less than 2 hours to replace. We are very pleased with this company. We just bought a home that had a water feature made of boulders in our back yard. I tried to get it working myself and bought a solar operated pump from Just Sprinklers. The staff was very nice and helpful in Rio Rancho. After I installed it we found out the container leaked so I called for an estimate. Mark S. come over and we discussed the project. He recommended a larger pump, new base and redrill the rock because the hole was to small. The crew that came over were great! All of the boulders and rocks had to be removed and put back in place. I guess we should have read the reviews. We would not recommend using this firm. The crew that came to do the promise work seemed rather clueless and had we not insisted they complete the work our system would not be running. If you need work of any type get at least 3-4 estimates all from licensed and bonded businesses. How else do you know if you're getting a good deal RIGHT! My experience with "Just Sprinklers " was not good. From them not showing up to set appointments and having to reschedule to be bounced around between ABQ and Rio Rancho locations. When I finally did get an estimate for some sod in my small front yard. An Ed Gonzales emailed me an estimate of $3000 for 33 rolls of sod and new metal edging. Removing 3 tons of my dirt and installing 3 tons of premium topsoil. With a one-month warranty. I was shocked at first, thinking he made a mistake somewhere or getting my location mixed up with another. I emailed Ed Gonzales with "Just Sprinklers" back and stated just want the sod done no edging or three tons premium dirt etc. He revised the estimate and removed $300 so know I'm at $2700 for 33 rolls sod. Very disappointed in this company that is clearly taking advantage of hard-working families! Out of the other three estimates, $700 to complete the job with a one-year warranty as long as you follow the conditions. read more
