I signed up to Yelp just to write how much I LOVED Les Petit Soins!! I finally found a beauty salon…read morethat's not girlie pink and frou-frou. This doesn't mean the atmosphere is unfriendly or aloof: quite the contrary! The girls were both very friendly and warm. I was offered a glass of water and plenty of time to get ready for my pampering time. And I was pampered indeed. A very professional, accurate and relaxed waxing session. For the first time in my life, I wasn't asked to perform Cirque-du-Soleil positions and it was all very comfortable. Léana has a very delicate touch, no pain at all (well, bikini waxing is never particularly pleasant but this was particularly pain-free) and was as precise and meticulous as I would have been. She tended to my comfort as if it was hers. I booked for half leg and bikini waxing but she managed to squeeze in a full leg and lips wax as well! Real nice. The place itself is elegantly understated, with nice touches here and there. Really refined and clean. Overall, what struck me the most was that the beautician themselves lit up the place with their very pro but relaxed attitude. Not an easy find. The price was beyond fair and very low for a Parisian salon. I loved the fact that the salon's concept doesn't revolve around how trendy or elegant the place is (and it is, anyway) but rather on the warmth and professionalism of their staff! Great! I left with a huge smile and carried on with my day feeling massively satisfied! Definitely going back: I already have an appointment for next month. :)

A TMI review but.... here goes!…read more I was in Paris for a couple of days and wanted to clean up a little ;) so I came here exclusively because it was the only place I could find (as an American researching in English, with limited french) with épilation au sucre or sugaring waxing. I guess there's a bunch of other places too but with good ole yelp reviews, I felt most confident in coming here. I went for an épilation maillot integral, aka a Brazilian if you're American. I didn't have a french number nor phone service so I couldn't make an appointment so I came in during the beginning of my trip to make an appointment for the last day of my trip. They had a handful of open spots but both times I was there, there were at least 2-4 in and out customers do I figure they get their usuals. So, I come in for my appointment and just as Brazilian sugaring is in the US, it's quick! My lady was super sweet and despite my desperate attempts to speak only in french, I struggled and they were super sweet--everyone was able to communicate with my broken french/English mainly which was nice! The sugar was a bit hot and maybe more sticky vs tacky than I was used to but it worked out okay and my lady did a pretty good job. my sugaring, once done, only costed 27€ because I am lucky to be pretty hairless as is LOL. However, it's normally 40€ Voilà ! Merci beaucoup, la sultane spa, je suis content :)

I walked in for waxing and since they were busy, they asked if I wanted to do my nails while I…read morewaited. I thought it was a good opportunity to do a pedicure. The pedicure was partially started, and included a foot soak, a salt exfoliation and nail trim, nail file, and scraping of the nail bed. But then I was told I'd be stopping the pedicure to do the waxing and I'd resume later. When I returned, I waited about 10-15 minutes for the technician to be available because she was doing a manicure for another client. I decided that I didn't want to paint my nails because it was taking so long, and she offered a brief massage before putting a base coat on my nails. My feet still have dead skin on the heels that was never buffed off, perhaps because of the interruption. So for the price and time spent, it didn't feel like I came out of the experience with a great pedicure. The technician was sweet and I do appreciate how detail oriented she was in the nail clipping. That is important and always a risk that someone might cut the skin, and she did do an accurate job with the nail cutting. But my feet just still feel rough so that's disappointing. Also the pedicure seating arrangement is pretty sparse. There are other places where you can sit in a proper chair and this was kind of like sitting on a hard bathroom tile step. The waxing - which is hard wax, not strips- was quite painful on my legs and many of the hairs were broken. I came in with long hair which does absolutely make it more difficult but that shouldn't make it impossible to wax with the right technique. I've actually been waxing my whole life, have blond hair and it isn't very course, and this was one of the most painful leg waxes I've had. I have high pain tolerance as well. Even with long hair (which may need strips instead of hard wax to be more effective), I know the difference between a good wax and one where many of the hairs simply haven't been pulled from the follicle/out by the root. The technician also waxed my right foot and then asked me after she had done so if I wanted the tops of my feet waxed. Of course it made sense to do so, but it is an additional charge that I should have been asked about before she proceeded and assumed I wanted it. So she did a very successful job at up-selling me to take more services (that's good for business!) but it also left me feeling like I'd paid a lot and it wasn't such a successful spa experience. I don't think I can recommend this business if you want consistent quality. It wasn't relaxing. I chose to come here over bodyminute because it looked more like a spa environment from the reviews, but I think I made the wrong choice.
