The store's layout was also very attractive and well-designed, so that you could imagine how each piece would look in your house. I have had a lot of hit-or-miss experiences at vintage stores, and can say that Adelaide's was a treat. They also had delicious cookies, baked by one of the staff :) totally recommend!

I have shopped so many antique and consignment shops in Greensboro, but I have never been here before. Firstly, it is not consignment. There are individual dealers in separate booths. It is a bit more consistently upscale then the other places I have been to, but that does not take away from the sheer pleasure of browsing. I would say it is moderately priced items and not the type of antique shop you are afraid to bump into something for fear of damaging something irreplaceable. I guess it really depends on your pocket book. Something's I found very affordable, something's were just out of my reach. They have smalls, furniture, decor and lovely oil paintings. I love ceramics so I enjoyed looking at lovely plates and colorful ginger jars. Wherever you looked, there was something interesting to see. The dealers just have magnificent taste in their collections and in how they merchandise their wares. There is a large parking lot in front. Just go and have fun. That's what we did!

They…read morehave a great variety of vendors, and I noticed a lot more trinket shelves than I've seen in other antique stores. It also seemed to lean more toward craft vendors, which was refreshing since it was nice to see new sellers and handmade items mixed in with the antiques. As someone who mainly hunts for vintage brass, miniatures, and unique little trinkets, I do wish there had been more of those types of finds. If you're into crafts, home décor, or a mix of vintage and handmade goods, you'll probably have a great time browsing. The prices felt fair overall, with a good range depending on the vendor, so I think there's something for most budgets. The only downside for me was the checkout experience. The woman checking us out came across as a little rude, although it's possible she was just having a long day. I personally think a warmer, more welcoming demeanor would have made the visit end on a better note. Overall, I'd definitely come back because the selection is worth exploring, and I was excited to leave with such a special find!

My wife reminded me there was a recent paranormal show we watched on Netflix that was filmed at Madison Dry Goods. I remembered the show and the impact on the people that stayed there during their 28 days. We actually talked about not wanting a ghost to attach to us and follow us home! We arrived a little after 2pm on a Saturday. Street parking was easy. We walked in and started to peruse the clothing area and were greeted by the owner. We learned he just purchased the business 11 days earlier. We chatted about the history and the filming for the Netflix show. As we began to look closer at their clothing items we were really impressed with the quality and their prices. They also had several racks featuring discounted items. We then walked over to the dry goods area which offered a lot of local products including honey, jams and jellies, popcorn, candy, grits and more. We decided to walk upstairs to look at the museum and some of the history of the hotel. This space was featured in the Netflix documentary and while it was cool it was also a bit creepy. We also learned they plan to use some of the space upstairs to have a antique marketplace area where people can rent booth space in the near future which will be a cool addition. We both ended up buying some clothing items and chatting with the owners. They were very welcoming and helpful. Wonderful stop and we will absolutely be back when we are in the area.
