Took my boyfriend here for his birthday because he has been wanting to go horseback riding! We had a blast! Chandra was our tour guide and she made the experience awesome. We were given the option to help feed them, brush them, and basically see what it's like to take care of them! The greenery was beautiful to look at as well and she even stopped and took as many pictures as we wanted! She helped build my confidence to let my horse canter towards the end of the tour and it was awesome! She let us tell her if we wanted to just walk, trot, canter, etc. based on how comfortable we were! It was also so nice to see that the horses were able to roam free almost and had no stables. They had a lot more freedom than I'm used to seeing when I've done horseback riding tours in the past. I would high recommend this tour! read more

My boyfriend and I had been wanting to ride horses for awhile. I surprised him by finding this place. Sue was great and very helpful. We had a great one and half hour ride. I loved the whole experience. I especially love that they rescue horses. The place is rustic looking, but overall Sue makes you feel comfortable and has fun with you. Been lied to. Don't listen to all these reviews they are all very deceiving...went there with my child and the place was very run down and looked like it was abandoned...Sue claimed that she was in Maryland for 3 weeks and that is why the place looked like that. they have horses roaming around in a dangerous situation, they are walking around where you are supposed to park, honestly surprised they haven't escaped. there are metal wires and other things that they could get cut with. They use horribly fitted tack and ride with horrible bridles and halters on. Their tack is very cheap and uncomfortable. Went there and wasn't even sure if that was the place because it looked way worse than the pictures. (by the way, it actually was) Went with another barn across the road and did my trail ride with a much better barn that actually had a facility...(Definitely recommend Pink Flamingo) While I was doing my trail ride with them, I saw a trail guide from horsing around, (not sure if it was sue couldn't tell, but I knew it was from horsing around..) and 2 kids that she was guiding. the horse that the guide (lady) was riding, was COMPLETELY OUT OF CONTROL.. and when I mean out of control...I MEAN IT. The lady riding was yanking on the horse's mouth and the horse was going crazy out of control. As someone whos been riding for 5 years and has been around horses my whole life I know that this is incorrect. instead of supporting "Horsing around" what you really should be doing is exposing and reporting! read more

My 74 year old father wanted to ride a horse so we researched and found Just Horsin' Around. Josh was amazingly helpful on the phone and in person we are not the skinniest family and he made sure we were well taken care of and well prepared to ride. JoJo and Kira were also very nice and accommodating. It was described as a family business and it really is. We rode horses for an hour and a half on horse-made trails. Josh was amazing. He had a good personality and was extremely knowledgeable. I booked a private ride for me and my fiance on his birthday and Josh gladly accommodated, He taught us everything we needed to know and took us on an awesome trail ride in the shade. I would definitely recommend booking here! They treat their animals very well (which is important to me, since I am an animal lover) and put a lot of effort into training them.
