Fantastic experience!…read more I contacted Why Knot via Yelp for a same day appointment for my husband and me that afternoon. Allison got back to me quickly and booked us for 5:30 pm. She also kindly gave us parking tips. My massage was with Sandeep who was incredibly strong and knowledgable. The price for each was CAD96 plus tax for an hour which felt very fair given the high quality of the massages. Definitely recommend!

When I did enter though it was quite dark and I honestly felt I had travelled to some massage parlour from the 1970s. The furniture, plastic plants, styrofoam cups and the whole feel of it made me feel I had just travelled back in time. The rates were jiffy markered on a piece of paper that was taped to the wall. 1/2 hour at $40, hour at $60 and 1 hour at $80. The woman working there was very friendly and she explained that there were only 3 rooms and that you didn't really need to book in advance. Hours are from 10 am to 10 pm, it was all very up and up but I must honestly say it did leave me wondering!

The room itself was very classy, with a fireplace and ample room between the tables. Unfortunately, the resting headpiece (laying face down) was a bit uncomfortable due to how small the opening was for your mouth. I was a bit miffed that there was literally nowhere to place or hang your things in the room. Also, there is no locker room, just two single person change rooms for dressing/undressing. There is no shower or sauna. I did not appreciate having to go home with oil on my body and clothes. The lobby was okay...there was "reading" material and cucumber/lemon water. It wasn't very relaxing though because of the bright light and visibility coming from the mall through the glass walls. Just a minor nitpick, though. The receptionist was nice; benefits went through okay. For the price, it's pretty good. I just wish their facilities were a bit more inviting.
