NU Med Spa officially has my heart…read more I usually just tag along with my wife to her beauty appointments, so I've seen a handful of places! different vibes, different service, all of it. But this one? It honestly beats them all. This spa sets the standard, no question. The moment we walked in, it just felt right. And then I met Rose... yeah, she's my favorite. She was literally going out of her way bringing me samples, throwing in discounts, handing me coupons!!! just pure good energy. I kept telling her not to waste anything on me, like seriously don't give me samples... and she just kept insisting. INSISTING You can't fake that kind of care. Our appointment was with Annabelle, and she was an absolute doll. Super knowledgeable, but what stood out was how she explained everything while she was doing it. Step by step, she made sure we actually understood what was happening and why. We did the Pico laser treatment! I had a bunch of dark spots, and one of them literally popped louder than the others. She broke it down right there, explaining how darker pigment needs deeper penetration. That kind of detail? You don't get that everywhere. Long story short, this is the place. Whether it's Botox with Lindsay, facials with Liana D, or any other treatment--they've got it dialed in. The space is beautiful, the music is calming, and they've got refreshments ready like they actually want you to sit back and enjoy being there. Trust me you won't regret it. Happy with my Botox Happy with my Facial Happy with my Laser Treatment Thank you, NU Med Spa

I don't write reviews unless I feel the need to give a special shout out and Bonni is very special…read moreand amazing. She knowledgeable, caring and takes her time with her patients! I've have sent many of my family members to her and she has helped them in ways they never got from pass practitioners in fact, I think she saved my mom in many ways and for that I will always be deeply grateful!! You can always trust that she does what ever it takes to help you and your love ones! P.S. Shannon her office manager/medical assistant is pretty amazing herself!!

I was reflecting as my time as a patient under Bonni back in 2014 and decided to share the concerns…read moreI had. Bonni is very nice, but expect to wait at least 2 hours after you check in. I understand that it's because she takes a lot of time with each patient, but as someone who was hourly and going in for a check up on their lunch, this was very problematic. It seems like scheduling should be adjusted to accommodate the needs of everyone involved rather than wasting patient's time. My bigger issue is that Bonni relies too heavily on alternative medicine theories. A lot of these studies are not based in good science. (I work in academic publishing.) While under her care, I was referred to the in-office nutritionist. A note here that a nutritionist is NOT the same as a dietitian. A nutritionist can get certified for about $3000 online whereas a dietitian has to go through years and years of medical training and get a higher degree. Because of this combo, I was told I must have a gluten issue. Even though I have EXCELLENT insurance, I had to pay a few hundred dollars out of pocket for an unnecessary gluten allergy test. It came back saying I did not have a gluten allergy. None the less, I was told by Bonni and the nutritionist to stop eating both gluten and dairy for SIX months. I stopped after two months because I saw no change and went to a doctor through the UCLA system who told me you only need to test these things for a single month. So, in conclusion if you're looking for an alternative medicine approach (if that's your jam, fine!) then this is the right doctor for you. But if like me you are not, then go elsewhere.

I want to take a moment to recognize the exceptional care I received from Dr. Adrian Huffard during…read moremy recent ER visit. From the moment he entered the room, Dr. Huffard was warm, calm, and genuinely attentive. I came in with a complex and fairly uncommon issue, and instead of brushing it off or rushing through the encounter, he took the time to truly listen to my experience and concerns. He ordered and reviewed my imaging personally, explained his findings clearly, and validated what I was feeling rather than dismissing it. What stood out most was his receptiveness and willingness to go above and beyond: he took the initiative to research this unique specialty in real time so he could communicate with me more accurately and thoughtfully. He also helped me identify and recommended top specialists for appropriate follow-up, which gave me clarity and peace of mind moving forward. I also want to acknowledge the male nurse who assisted during my visit (unfortunately I didn't catch his name). He was professional, kind, and made a stressful situation feel much more manageable. Too often people only leave reviews when something goes wrong. This experience was the opposite. Dr. Huffard exemplifies what patient-centered, competent, and compassionate care should look like. I'm extremely grateful and would not hesitate to recommend him. Sending sincere gratitude, positive health, and continued success to Dr. Huffard, the nursing staff, and all who read this. May your work continue to bring healing and reassurance to many.

This time it was my turn in the ER and it was no different than with my parents. This is a teaching…read morehospital and most of the students/residents are C students at best. As someone with a doctorate as well, I know what base level of critical thinking skills an MD should have. I was dressed like a professor and yet they still treated me like I was an idiot. Actually, maybe they felt threatened knowing that I would see right through their charade. I came in with severe vomiting for four days and I knew it was from a medication I was taking. I wanted to make sure it wasn't pancreatitis as that was a side effect of the medication. My heart rate was a little high from vomiting, not eating and also from an ADHD stimulant. The nurse looking at my heart rate said "ADHD stimulants do not affect heart rate." Are you for real? So they gave me an EKG. The first doctor said it was fine and he wasn't sure why they were holding me. Next a group of 5 somber and patronizing looking doctor/residents approached and said that my EKG was "alarming" and that I had just had a heart attack. I looked at him straight in the eyes and said "No, I didn't. I've been vomiting, that's why everything looks screwed up." Another doctor glared at me and asked me "Do you know how you got diabetes?" with a mocking look on his face. I responded "I sat on the same toilet seat as someone with diabetes." Another kept questioning my medications and why I was taking them. They didn't have the knowledge or critical thinking ability to understand that medications are used for different things including off-label use. Speaking of which, I had to go without one medication for three days because nobody could "find it in the system." Five of the doctors did not know what Rybelsus is. 2 of those 5 didn't know what Semaglutide is and what it's used for. That is disqualifying in my eyes. I easily met 30 different doctor/residents during my time in the ER. Every. single. one. asked the same damn thing over and over and said the same damn thing as the others over and over... right in front of each other! Some of them were fighting with other residents for who got to speak first. It was pathetic. Every resident/doctor in the ER was somber, angry, unsupportive, patronizing and egotistical. They set me off, and I was extremely furious and wasn't taking it from these clowns. I've never spoken to professionals the way that I spoke to these people. Their lack of bedside manner, lack of knowledge and lack of critical thinking skills did not warrant my respect. I was "diagnosed" with the following, by the staff using their Fisher Price doctor kit: - sepsis (nope) - heart attack (nope) - diabetic ketoacedosis (nope) - bad reaction to medication (that's the one!) I was stuck in that hell hole for THREE DAYS to do a series of tests on my heart, ALL of which came back normal. And the kicker? They never even admitted me! So now I am on the hook for "observation" rather than my insurance paying the bill for being admitted. The financial "counselor" offered me a 20% discount if I pay now! What is this? A used car lot? **This entire thing was an insurance scam** and I knew it from the second the residents/doctors overrode the other resident/doctor who said there was nothing wrong with my EKG. Boy is Los Robles already teaching these students to extort money from insurance companies. Good on them I guess. The care in the hospital itself was quite good. Shoutout to Susan/Susie who was a great nurse. There was also one female resident that was amazing and I unfortunately don't know her name. Dr Mehdi was also good. They were the only ones that were worth a damn.
