Captain John and Carolyn provided us with the best shelling trip we could have asked for. We chose…read morethe 6 hour tour and wanted to do 100% shelling. One of the islands, Hickory Preserve I believe, I'm not sure of the exact name, was awesome. It was planned it as our first stop, and when we arrived, we found ourselves to be the only ones there. There were beautiful, perfect shells everywhere: conchs, whelks, alphabet cones, wormies, murexes, and even unseparated cockle shells (I actually thought it was a different type of shell because I had never seen an unbroken pair before). I could barely take one step forward without having to stoop down again (I'm glad I left my sand dipper on the boat, because it was completely unnecessary). On our way back to the dock, he took us to see manatees, and it was pretty much the perfect end to both our excursion and our trip to Sanibel. We got close enough to take photos and videos without bothering them, and we even got to see two eating together (I think he said they were eating the algae off the dock post). There were just so many extra kind gestures that Carolyn and John extended to us, just top notch customer service and friendliness overall that made me feel very spoiled. Photos of our day were uploaded to a Dropbox account for us to download, we didn't have to waste time transferring shells to our bags because we got to keep the buckets, a thank you postcard was sent to us in the mail. Thank you, Captain John and Carolyn, it was an amazing day!

We opted to take our lunch and spend more time exploring. Our destination was Foster Bay, and it did not dissapoint!! We saw a bull shark, manatee, dolphins, birds, and all kinds of fish. Scored some rad shells, and floated in gentle waves off the beach. The highlight of our vacation! Thanks Capt. Jake for our perfect day on the water!

Southwest Florida is full of great places to explore by boat. The barrier islands from Sanibel,…read moreCaptiva, and Boca Grande offer tremendous views, plenty of dolphins, manatees, and generally lovely boating. What could go wrong with a couple of days out in nature? All Around Boat Rental. All Around Boat Rental passed off an ill-equipped rental. The motor lift was broken (this is the mechanism that lifts the propeller up so you don't cut the backs of manatees and get stuck in sand bars), the A/C power was broken (so one can navigate with a phone app), and the charts were out-of-date. E.g. There was no accurate way to navigate and no way to raise the props if needed. I found the staff to be unhelpful and poorly-trained. It was only after returning home I noticed that their Better Business Bureau rating is a D+. Do yourself a favor, enjoy the waters of SW FL, but don't rent from All Around Boat Rental.

Be very careful when renting from Vince. Had a boat rented for the week. Supposed to charge the…read moreweek before arrival. Charged us the day we reserved the boat. Boat was a no show. No call back after multiple hours and messages. Went on their website and filled out a new rental request under a different name and phone number. Vince called us back. Surprise! Vince's call back is from an Ohio number. Not local. Never showed up with a boat after multiple excuses and empty promises. (Out town for funeral, prop was damaged, shaft of motor was damaged, etc). Was upset that we called our credit card for a charge back. Was going to give us an imaginary check. The same one that was in the boat did not show up. Rented a house on the water just for the boat. Definitely impacted our family vacation. Again, read the other reviews.

Super easy, efficient tritoon rental. Zach and Mike are…read moreefficient informative and keep you in the loop by even sending a text the morning of your rental with clear information. We also could text them anytime throughout the day with any questions etc. There is a Gas a dock on the other side of the River, The Landings which is convenient to filling up your tank before the end of your day. The boat was clean, had fender, dock lines, life jackets and emergency equipment needed unlike some of other rental agencies we have used. The anchor also was a good anchor that did it's job, we have had issues with some boat rentals where anchor is too small or the rope is in terrible condition. We could play music by connecting through bluetooth to the stereo. The tritoon had plenty of room to relax and enjoy a day in the water. We liked it so much we rented it another day to be able to do a day of fishing. We found it so easy and efficient to rent from this company so much so, we also rented one of their fishing boats which even had a working live well on it. The fishing boat was faster than the tritoon. The tritoon goes about 18-19 miles an hour so it does take about 1 hr to Sanibel. The fishing boat was little faster. Also, their parking lot is very convenient to unloading and reloading all you bring for a day on the water. They even have a convenient ramp walkway to be able to roll your cooler down. Very short walk from park to where you load. Zach and Mike have a rolling time pick up so there is no mayhem of customers scrambling to get on rentals in the morning. It all felt very efficient and a great start to our day. Even saw a pod of dolphins, caught a bonnethead shark, mangrove snapper and a mackerel. Plus lots of shell marine life. We have rented from them 3 times and until we are able to get a boat (we lost ours because of Hurricane Ian) They will be our go-to place and to recommended when visitors are in town. Could not have been easier! Highly recommended this company in Cape!
