As I was reading some reviews, there were 2 that stuck out to me. Both Charlene and Mike did a great job of explaining their experience with this school. I am a mother of 3 children that have gone to that school, and in my experience, this can hardly be called a Christian school. I have had one daughter in the East campus (PK-1st) who had a great experience, so I agree with Kelly. My Daughter looked forward to going to school every day, all the staff made it a priority to know all the children. They made learning fun and showed love and kindness towards them. But that stops there. When she had transferred to the West campus, she has experienced everything but this. Every week, my daughter would beg me to let her stay. She refused to go into class, and she was miserable. She was always annoyed that all the other classes in her grade had fun in their class, but they never did anything in hers. It had gotten to the point to where I personally requested for her to change teachers but was denied. I recently had gone to the JCS Gala and saw my daughter's teacher there. Since I never properly met her, I decided to go introduce myself. When I did this, I had gotten nothing short of rudeness and disrespect. I was looked at with disgust and then ignored. I have never had any teacher do that to me. I am also extremely disturbed by the upper school. I have one daughter that begged to be homeschooled. She told me she did not like the environment that she was surrounded by every day. She was constantly around teenagers doing drugs and selling them. There are also numerous students who constantly vape and sleep around. My children tell me constantly how teachers are on top of phone use in school, but there are kids that are obviously high, walking into class with bloodshot eyes. The teachers also pick favorites and make it obvious towards the kids. One teacher told her art class that only one person was up to her expectations and everyone else was an embarrassment to her and does not deserve to be put up in the hall. She also lets everyone know that only one person actually tries in the class and points the person out. I am extremely upset about these two comments. I watched my daughter stay up to 2 in the morning, just working on art projects. I believe that is completely unacceptable. There is another teacher that all the kids have been constantly complaining about. My daughter had to take a quiz every day in this class for a week and had to write an essay that was due the next day. the children have constantly complained to guidance about this issue. There is another teacher that told a child that they had to choose between athletics and academics. I do not agree with this statement at all. I believe children should have a balance of sports and academics in their childhood. As academics are important, athletics are equally as important. Academics teach you information that will make you smarter, but athletics teach how to work well with a team, confidence, discipline, and other important life skills. The students should not be forced to choose between the two. These are just a few reasons and examples that I have that the Jupiter Christian West campus is not up to a Christian level. There are all these problems that are constantly overlooked, or just simply ignored. There are many other things I can list, but if I was to, we would be here all day. read more
