She was hit by a child while having 3 adults in the same classroom "supervising" her. There was no exact explanation as to why they didn't witness the incident. My child had an "accident" and I always provided an extra pair of clothes as expected, but my child was left with her dirty clothes throughout the day. The hours state they are available for business at 7am and for me this was expressed how important it was to be their on time. The staff would walk in right at 7am and by the time I walked out from checking her in and everything else that needed to be done, i was 10 minutes behind schedule. I expressed thus to the director and we couldn't continue allowing more incidents occur and decided to not continue having our child be here. We requested our 2 weeks of daycares money that we had paid in advance to be refunded and they refused and said their policy stated we needed to give a months notice stating we were removing our child. We were furious to hear how the wanted us to leave our child there to have more incidents occur. A refund wAs not given back to us and were un-sympathetic. Bad experience from day one.

From the excellent teachers and staff, to the expansive space and multiple playgrounds for the children, this really is a wonderful school. In particular, the teachers and administration are wonderful--we can clearly see that the Montessori program has benefitted our daughters' development...and they are genuinely excited to go to school each morning, which tells you everything! I would not hesitate to recommend Mariposa to any parents looking for schools near Los Gatos. And lastly, the location is fantastic...we're very grateful to have Mariposa in our area!

Our family attended with two…read morechildren across five years, ages 2-5, and experienced all the different and unique classes and AMAZING teachers. Mountain School helped me raise adventurous, confident risk-takers who are emotionally grounded and comfortable in various social settings. The school's nature-focused, child-led, and play-based philosophy follows the science that PLAY is our children's work and that there is no better place to learn than outside! The tire swing, zip line, canyon classroom, creek play, field trips, sensory activities, and materials are all favorites for our family, but more important is the carefully crafted curriculum that ties all of these pieces together. Each class, teacher, and school year is a little different because the teachers ebb and flow with the children's rhythms. Every piece of Mountain School is done with intention, integrity, and gratitude. Aside from my children's growth and experience, I was also a student in the community with Mountain School. The school philosophy that training parents in child development is education's most important job is the most valuable piece of the entire Mountain School experience. Learning from the fantastic, experienced, and loving teachers is the greatest gift you'll give yourself. I am the parent I am today because of what I learned at Mountain School!

The school is a gift to parents as much as the children. With a Parent Board of Directors, there are many opportunities to get involved with an amazing community.

Our daughter started her school journey in the TK class last year at CCS and each day started with so many smiles during the morning flag salute and daily prayer. It's a wonderful way to be together with the rest of the school and teachers and also parents! They have a holistic faith-based education focusing on values and principles that children need growing up in today's environment. My best part as a parent was during pick up and drop off where every teacher greets the kids and parents with a smile :) The warmth and love shown by the teachers every single day makes this school an excellent choice for children. Also, they have a very organized car-line for pick up and drop off. All teachers are hands-on during the pick up and drop off. Annual performances are beautifully organized and the kids love it! All in all, this school is perfect for those who value the little things in life and are looking for a place where kids feel loved and valued. Thank you Mr. Shrader for making the school year so enjoyable and memorable for the children. Keep up the great work!

The facilities are basically brand new since they moved here late 2024 and the outdoor play area is quite nice with a HUGE tree providing shade for the kids to play under. As this location is in a more residential neighborhood, parking is a bit limited so pickups and drop offs can be a bit of a car shuffle.

Every. Single. Day. Amazing. The teachers have the patience of saints and the energy of caffeinated squirrels. In our house, we don't have any Chinese speakers, but we love the routine and school ethic at 7 Magic. It really builds a challenge for our son and teachers him another language. The school's consistently strong test scores reflect the quality of its curriculum and the dedication of its teachers, who challenge students while ensuring they feel known, supported, and encouraged. We have been especially impressed by VCA's commitment to STEM education. The Innovation Lab gives students meaningful opportunities to build, design, experiment, and solve problems creatively. It has been a wonderful fit for our son, who loves engineering and understanding how things work. VCA's partnership with Venture Church is another important asset, providing a shared vision and meaningful, ongoing investment in improving the campus. What truly distinguishes VCA, however, is its culture. From the moment we arrived, our family felt warmly welcomed. The teachers and staff care deeply for their students, and that warmth is evident throughout the school. There is also a lovely bond between the older and younger students. The younger children look up to the older students, who take a genuine interest in them and serve as kind, encouraging role models. VCA's current leadership deserves tremendous credit for the school's remarkable growth and for cultivating an environment where academic excellence, innovation, faith, and joy flourish together. We are incredibly grateful to be part of this community.

Our daughter is typically anxious with transitions, but she settled in remarkably well thanks to the warm, patient staff and supportive environment. Our two younger children also absolutely love school--they look forward to being there each day--and both took less than a day to transition with no tears when they started. Class sizes are small--fewer than 15 students in our kids' classrooms--which means real, individualized attention. We also value the well-rounded curriculum that goes beyond academics to focus on character development and a strong Christian faith foundation. It's exactly the balance we hoped to find. The campus is beautiful and well cared for, and they're actively investing in the future with a new middle school building and gym facilities underway. As parents of three students here, we couldn't be happier with our decision. Venture Christian Academy has been a blessing to our family, and we recommend it wholeheartedly.

Creative Beginnings is truly the best preschool you can ask for, and specifically with my neurodivergent son, he has progressed and accomplished so much in thanks to the hard work of his teachers and the director. His life would honestly not be the same if he hadn't attended this school for the last 3 years. In fact, his private speech therapist told me that this is the best school she's ever been to. Aside from the accommodations and support they provided my son, I'm amazed at how much our tuition gave us: kung fu, soccer, music teachers visited on a weekly basis, a low student teacher ratio, field trips, and so much more. I think the mix of structure (weekly lesson plans for each class) and free play is perfect for kids as well. I also want to note that the teacher turnover is very low, and most of the main teachers have been there for many many years. In addition to just being a warm, welcoming place, my son also thrived academically here. His school district assessment showed that he is on track academically for kindergarten, thanks to the hard work of his teachers.
