I go to Jericho Counselling for private counselling appointments but have also attended a group…read moretherapy series there. My group sessions were 4 times on one topic with other adults. We did a mixture of discussions, brainstorming and short mini lectures and relaxation techniques. I recommend the group sessions because it was helpful not to feel alone with, my challenges and became friends with another woman in the sessions. Also, found the counselors who ran the session were knowledgeable and synthetic. Now I am doing my own private sessions. They cost more than the workshops. I went with the second counselor in met. I choose the frequency of my appointments so it is not a package or set number of times. My health plan covered some of the cost. I find that my counselor is really helping me deal with an ongoing family issue. She is professional and we created a plan together. People in my life and colleagues have mentioned that I seem less stressed and I am sleeping better. I am happy to recommend them to others. One thing I will mention is there seems to be a lot of construction around the Broadway building. Sometimes the elevators take a while too.

My partner and I had a few sessions of couples counselling with a female counsellor at Jericho. Our…read moresessions felt very clinical, and I felt our counsellor lacked empathy. Not only were the sessions unhelpful, the counsellor was condescending. At one point when I briefly mentioned a past event, she leaned forward, shook her head, and said "and you bringing up the past, how does that help?" I was shocked by her response, and I said, "excuse me?", and she repeated the exact same words. We have since found a much better couples counsellor at another clinic. I would not recommend Jericho counselling.

As an active advocate for mental health, I will be taking this quite seriously. If your required care is concerning mental health, I would advise to seek a psychiatrist for medication or a GP who has worked closely with psychiatrists. Dr.Naidu unfortunately hasn't the experience and professionalism to be in a position to work with patients in this area as I sadly suffered the consequences of her irresponsible decision making. I would advise to seek another physician.

No only has it allowed me to cope with my various anxieties, it has brought a sense of calm and serenity in my life. The biggest affect it has had on me is with my studying. I could hardly focus for more than 15 minutes, and I would find myself reading the same sentence over and over, and never retaining information. However, after the neuro feedback I am a machine!! I can focus for 8 hour stretches and retain information better than ever before! And lastly, the best part of the sessions is Tess herself. She has not only become a friend to me, but also my pseudo-therapist. I highly recommend Neuro Feedback for anyone with stress, anxiety, sleep problems, ADD, or for people who just need to chill out.

Has ten titles after his name but apparently none of them qualify him to practice psychoanalysis. Puts his email address online and rants at patients for emailing him even though the information is there for everyone to see. Completely out of touch with modern-day thinking and points fingers at patients ("See? I told you so!"). Uses "personality disorder" as an argument when he knows it hasn't been addressed and is therefore hurtful. Spends 30 seconds prescribing medication and then sends you on your way (whilst billing the gov't $120/visit). Seeing ANYONE else but him (honestly- talking to a stranger on the street) will get you better and cheaper medical advice. Receptionist is rude and disrespectful as well- part of a well-oiled team of scammers to scam you $30 for a doctor's note and $30 more for a duplicate copy.
