I wish they would have more vegetarian options for dining.
They used to have a Chinese restaurant in the club but the owner said he wanted to retire and spend more time with his family. He had more vegetarian choices, so I'm disappointed with the new menu.
(It's turned out that the Chinese restaurant owner didn't want to retire; he has just decided to open in a different location in town. Very disappointed in him.)
It seems that some of the people who work here don't enjoy their work. At least, they look grumpy. I try and avoid them, but it's not always possible! Other staff members know my regular order and they say, "The usual?", and I reply, yes please. And everything is done right! I like that.
The place is a club. There's no escaping that fact. There are some poker machines, but they are in a separate area and mostly out of the way. There's a Sports Lounge where you can find multiple TVs all showing different sports or horse racing and greyhound racing events.
And in the main auditorium, everything is fairly relaxed. The bar is open from opening time to close. You go to the bar to order your drinks and maybe some light snacks. The staff will either give you the drinks then and there, or if you can't carry everything, they will bring you your order to your table. And you don't have to take your empty cups or glasses back to the bar.
There are a few TVs playing in the auditorium. One is usually playing a free to air television program,, and another is showing a gambling game, Keno. A third is often playing some music videos. This usually means that you can find something that you want to watch! Then again, if you have friends with you, nothing is so loud that you can't hear each other talking. read more
