Every hole has multiple hills and each seem to slope into the fake grass edges making it very annoying to take your shot as the ball constantly rolls into the edge. Very poorly designed course. At $40 for two adults and a child it's certainly not great value. My child gave up about half way around and we were also frustrated and disappointed for having paid so much money for the experience.

One thing you learn when you have more than one kid is that it's damn hard to find play areas suitable for varying ages. Harmony Park is great for my one year old and five year old alike. Huge play area for kids up to the age of 14, the thing I love about this park is it's designed specifically in mind for toddler safety and as an all abilities playground - meaning every kid gets to join in and experience the fun of the park! Expansive lawn areas to run around, kick a footy or even fly a kite. Shady, convenient seating close by to the play areas, indoor and clean toileting facilities, BBQ area which is shaded...what more could you want in industrial old Coburg!! My third fave place around the inner North to hang with my kids. (Coburg Lake and the Moonee Ponds Lake have to take out number one and two spots.) Only reason it doesn't get five stars is due to the lack of public transport servicing the area.

With the weather moody and a desire to roll in the next 20 minutes, we found ourselves at the Kingpin Bowling Lounge for a rather expensive yet enjoyable three games of bowling. Kingpin aims at doing a lot of the things that Strike bowling does (serve drinks, have music, and lights on the lanes) but at the same time it is probably more tailored towards families than Strike. The bowling was fun as I hit a rare 150 (I'm a pretty shitty bowler admittedly). Enjoyable times but the lack of specials they offer means it would be an expensive pastime. I guess it is yet another string in Crown's entertainment bow. If in Crown and you feel like bowling, head to Kingpin. Otherwise, I prefer the Strike experience.

Each time I've found the staff to be kind, supportive and helpful. Especially during those times when I'm too busy impersonating a turtle to save myself for a bombardment of balls. The game is easy. You just need to convince at least 7 of your best mates or frenemines to join you in a round or two. A group of. 12-16 works best for good ball rotation and player down time. You don't want your players to get ball exhaustion. So you hop in a ball, bounce around and try to score goals while not getting stuck in the turtle position. The field is the average size of a indoor soccer field with appropriate protection for spectators. You don't want to see you friends squished by 16kg of big bouncy ball. A few tips to reminder-wear a tee. Singlets are a great way to get harness burn. Hard to explain to family and friends. Bring water. A lot of water for rehydrating in between rounds. Bouncing around in a giant ball is akin to a gym session wrapped in bubble wrap inside a sauna. So hot stuff. Deodorant will be needed.

Forget any soccer skills that you may have or how fit you are (or think you are) because, when it comes to bubble soccer, everything goes out the window. You can expect 3 things though: - Your knuckles and knees are going to get bruised. - You'll get a good workout, sweat and very likely end up sore. - Most importantly though, you'll have heaps of fun!
