First jump experience visiting from Las Vegas. I read a lot of good reviews and decided to try it.
When we first came, the front lady wasnt the most friendly and I get it, you deal with people all day long but yikes, what a start.
After you sign waivers and check in, you are asked if you want the video/photo package which has 2 signs next to vending machine that state $75 & $78 dollars for the same package but are asked for $86 per person without notice of tax ( it was clarified that it was the tax that brought it up to $86 )
After you are done checking in, if you are doing the video package you get a small slip to fill out for 3 songs you want in your video for the fly up, free fall, landing which is neat.
After that, its a long wait for your turn. When you are called, you drop off all your stuff to the front and then wait on a carpet. While waiting, one staff member filling up the vending machine and sneezed inside the machine, wtf?
This is where it got real weird... as we were waiting, i saw an instructor grabbing his son im guessing by the shirt on his shoulder tugging him until he fell and then looked like play tickling but the kid wasnt happy. It was very strange. I told myself i do not want that instructor in my mind.
As soon as i seen another instructor come out, he called my name and as soon i raised my hand. He stopped and looked at me, turned around and went back into the back. He then came back out and called my partner ( it felt very strange and discriminatory in a way but whatever )
Then i hear my name and guess who it was.... The instructor i didnt want. He was angry and complaining while suiting me up. When he was doing his job to artificially be happy and stuck the gopro in my face, everything felt so fake and awkward. It was like this all the way up and down. Nothing but complaining to his colleagues while im attached to him in plane. Out of respect, i wont mention his name here.
As expected, everyone else before me got a 4-5 minute video and of course mine was unexpectedly 2 minutes ish and all I got was a sorry, the file got corrupted. No reconciliation for getting some money back or nothing.
As this is my first time jumping... it was a very bad experience but a thrill nonetheless.
Tldr: unpleasant staff, $86 video got cut short and no reconciliation, first jump ruined by complaining instructor, unsanitary practice when restocking vending machine where people actually eat from. Will not be returning despite positive reviews. read more
