I am absolutely appalled by the behavior of the owner, Maria at this business. Apologies ahead of…read moretime for this long post! If you're not interested in the novel... basically we experienced the rudest customer service we have ever received from an establishment. The grooming is a hit or miss. The business itself is extremely unorganized, having received calls from the business regarding other peoples pets, then denying it. Our dog has been there 3 times now. Each time has been a completely different experience. First time she was there, she was left with SO much dead hair that I had to spend an hour getting all the fur off myself (after she had gotten it all over our newly cleaned car). Second time, was great! They listened to my concerns and our dog looked and smelled wonderful. This time, again as usual, we requested the full body grooming with anal glands and dead hair removal. Not only did they not tell us until after we picked her up that the anal glands could not be done as the groomer wasn't in, but our dog was again, covered in hair. Which AGAIN got all over our car and all over our home. Also, to note, each time we have been there we have been charged a different price. It seems they choose what they want to charge you when its time to pay. On this last visit, we also wanted to buy our dog some diapers. My husband put some down at the counter and the owner "barked" :) at him that that was the wrong size and demanded to know why we needed them. He let her know, that she is going on a flight, and he was then lectured on how our dogs breed cannot fly. All extremely aggressive. He assured her, that of course we were aware of this, and that she will be in the cabin with us. It is none of her business what we do with our dog, and if she wasn't so aggressive towards him, it would have been fine. There was no genuine concern, just aggression. Sadly, our experience with this individual today doesn't end there. The last two times, our dog was in, she was there for an hour. My husband received a call exactly 30 minutes after he dropped her off. He could not pick up so he called her back SIX minutes later. She then yelled at him on the phone that it is very important he pick up his phone in case there is an emergency. He pointed out she should have called me also, but unfortunately I did not have my phone at the time and it had only been 30 minutes! I did not expect her full body grooming to be done so quickly. He then went to get her. Turns out the grooming was so quick because they couldn't do her anal gland treatment. Which again, we only found out when we picked her up. After being home an hour with our dog my husband had another missed call from her. I decided to call back myself. She claimed that she had never called us, but we have a voicemail from her about someones cat... She doesn't seem very organized. I was then LECTURED again about making sure we picked up our phones. It was absolutely bizarre with her not letting me speak and stating over and over that I was "wrong, wrong, wrong" I had to hang up on her. I'm still in shock over this! Just please be aware when booking with these people, that your precious pet will be in a very unorganized and aggressive environment. Proceed with caution.

I've used the groomer service for 7 years (Anna and Becky were very professional), but this time…read moresomebody new groomed my dog and hurt his genitals and left bleeding spots under his paws. When I said it wasn't normal, I've been told that many dogs feel uncomfortable for 4 days in the genital area. My dog has been crying for 5 days, licking and bleeding (despite creams, Elizabeth collar and etc). So the big question-is a normal groomer is supposed to do things like this? And not even to apologise. I am still shocked of this treatment after all these years of trust. Be very careful who grooms your dog in this place. Maria

I like this pet shop a lot, I…read morethink starting at the name and working back this whole shop takes the best possible approach to all the pampered dogs and cats in Notting Hill. Round here dogs get left cash in their owners wills, lots of it and they get edible Christmas cards that they share with their mad owners for supper. What they sell is pretty basic but it's extensive, baskets, treats, collars, toys and bowls. They also sell stupid things like suitcases for poodles and a Santa outfits for Labradors. People must buy them though right? It's probably those mad people again that eat Christmas cards. Round the corner they have another shop too that specializes in dog grooming and slightly ironically has a deli counter. All the food is natural and apparently delicious. Ask the mad people just how delicious it really is. The dogs just wag their tail. Course a lot of this is indulgent and frivolous but we love our animals here right and we wouldn't want to see them go without a superman outfit or a cap to keep the sun out their eyes would we?
