The menu felt very western influenced and the ramen was like hard spaghetti in a tasteless tonkotu broth. Nobody was Japanese here and the chef was white. I saw a comment earlier stating that the chefs were trained by Japanese chefs. To counter that, one, you cannot claim this is ran by Japanese chefs if it's not. Two, these so called Japanese teachers didn't teach them how to make authentic food in the case of our served food. 2 stars for the waiters and waiters only. Please value authenticity

I have been on the search for good sushi/authentic japanese food in marseille and so far, this one has been THE one. I got deep fried octopus for a side and the sushi/cali combo. The fish was of excellent quality and you could tell that the chefs know what they're doing when cutting and preparing the fish. They serve white ginger and not pink ginger which is definitely a plus and I had a green tea tiramisu cake for dessert. The green tea was not sweet and had much more of a natural flavor to it which I loved! Service was amazing and I felt right at home listening to the chefs speaking in japanese. :) I will definitely be back!

NO alcohol served here, but the sushi was a wide variety and very fresh. Very accommodating for special requests. VERY affordable--good value here. And boy was I glad that I did! The owner of this 20-seater sushi restaurant is a one-woman show. After learning her skills in Japan she opened this small restaurant to share her love for Japanese cuisine with her adopted city. Holding court in the central open kitchen she prepares every little dish before your eyes with careful, elegant movements, creating plates that are as gorgeous on the eyes as they are delicious to the palate. To do so, she takes a considerable amount of time, so patience is seriously required. To give you an example, we got to the restaurant at 10pm and left at 1:30am. Yep, you read me right! But during those three and a half hours I ate some of the best Japanese food I've had in France, including delicate gyozas and a beautiful Chirashi plate of super fresh goodness. The prices are pretty high, and with the extra wine that we "had" to order to go with our wait, it came to around 50€ a person..but the experience was definitely worth it!

But what bugged me so much was that when I told her I couldn't eat it, she just said oh I'm sorry, and walked away instead of offering me something else. Then after paying and leaving (I paid for the thing I couldn't eat) I looked at the bill and say that I was over billed. Bad people who care more about money than the customer.
