She had a lovely space set up outside to take advantage of the beautiful weather, all the materials ready to go, and a couple projects planned. From age 5 to 40+, all our guests had a great time creating bowls, platters, figurines and projects of their own imagination. We printed designs in the clay, rolled and shaped and stamped, then painted with underglaze. Everyone got to make multiple creations. Can't wait to see the finished projects after they're fired and glazed. As we left, several kids asked me to pass on info about Claire's classes to their parents so they can come back - a sure sign they had a great time.

After being overcharged and underwhelmed by our previous plumber, I was on the hunt for a capable plumber to install a whole house water filtration system. From the moment I reached out to Green Tech Plumbing, they were nothing but responsive and helpful. I purchased the filtration system from a vendor, yet Kevin willingly answered all my questions (promptly!) about the system. He even pointed out that one of the options had expensive filters that would need to be changed frequently saving me hundreds of dollars in filters. What a gem! Kevin came out to look at how the system could be installed in our space and talked to me through how the system would work and answered all my questions. He then provided a fair quote. Once our system was delivered, I emailed to set up the installation. His team came out the following week for the installation. The tech Kevin sent was just as helpful! He moved the 100-pound tank from the garage to the basement, which wasn't part of their scope. The tech had to make a run to the hardware store to buy connection pieces that weren't included with system, but he knew exactly what to buy and did so in a timely manner. The install was speedy and flawless. The tech was even willing to stay while I called the vendor's water filtration system customer service expert to walk us through the start up process. On top of this great experience, I wrote a check for the incorrect amount and Kevin responded right away saying he would swing by and drop a check in our mailbox for the overpayment. Unreal! This is how you run a company!

Doesn't a wedding cost enough without spending more than $2,000 on a personalized ketubah? Looking back on my own wedding, I would happily have forfeited the caterer and even the guests to have my ketubah designed by Judith Joseph. I had met Judith before I called her about doing my ketubah, but had never seen her ketubah work. Judith brought her portfolio for my husband and me to peruse while we talked with her about how we met, our shared interests, our individuals interests, favorite colors, etc. There were certain things we knew we wanted in our ketubah--Judith was able to make positive suggestions about how to integrate these things into the whole. She is surprisingly humble about her work and willingly accepted ideas different from her own. Out of a two hour meeting came a draft of the art for the ketubah, complete with all the things we had talked about in the colors we had discussed. The draft was amazing and we looked forward with great anticipation to receiving the completed work. Nothing could have prepared us for that moment. The finished product was (and is) literally stunning. Don't be afraid to ask Judith to customize things for you: we wrote our own English vows and put them on the ketubah and included in negative space images from our childhood. Judith has a unique ability to convert spoken and written language into images. This is a marvelous trait for any artist, but essential for the ketubah artist. I am so glad that we knew of Judith before we started looking for a ketubah artist. She made the process absolutely delightful. read more

Is there anything more beautiful in our home than our Ketubah. No. I have had the great pleasure of having Judith Joseph create a most beautiful Ketubah for our wedding. It began with phone calls from California to Chicago. Judith listened, with her lazer like hearing, and was able to embody everything we shared in the form of a beautiful painting/marriage contract. We are regularly thrilled with our decision to allocate funds in this direction for our wedding. It brings us joy or a regular basis. I find myself just staring at it from the kitchen table. We love the beautiful, vibrant colors, and Judith's attention to all of the things we shared about ourselves, and how she encorperated them into our ketubah. It is so nice to have good food, and lovely flowers, but our ketubah will be with us forever, and it has so much depth, and promise. I have not yet met the lovely Judith Joseph, but she is still in my heart, and I look forward to the day that I do. Judith seems to be a very soulfull woman, and I believe she has a sence that allows her to create such beauty, and to personalize a ketubah in such a way, you would think we had known her our whole lives. Special special stuff. I don't think that what Judith is able to do is, in anyway ordinary. She must have a seventh sence to be able to do this. I have had the pleasure of working with Judith on several projects for use in both my professional and personal life. I have purchased an item or two of her own beautiful designs, but more significantly had her work with me to take my ideas and with her artistic talent and creativity, ultimately design exactly what I want. This has included truly unique kiddush cups and talit (prayer shawls) that are meaningful for the individuals and occasions. Judith is able to incorporate images, symbols, designs, quotes of text, etc. to capture and illustrate something really special that is both a work of art and memento.
