From weddings, to family sessions, newborn shoots to maternity, engagement to special events...you name it. Every photo has a story behind it and is just so raw and real. She has an eye for capturing natural moments in the most beautiful way. A story that needs no words. When I first met with Caili, we chatted for an hour about life and then finally got around to the details of what I was looking for in a photo shoot. I contacted her to do a newborn shoot for my second son who is due in December. I decided I'd like to do a "mini maternity/family" shoot prior to becoming a family of four. I am SO glad I did! On our original date for our shoot downtown, it was pouring and freezing outside. She reached out to me that morning asking if I would like to reschedule. Laid back and flexible - talk about a nice change of pace and so necessary for outdoor shoots! So we rescheduled for the following week. It worked out much better! When we met with her, my husband (who normally would have said he needed a few glasses of wine before doing pictures) was totally relaxed and laid back. We didn't even feel like we were doing a shoot. We sort of ran around with our 18 month old letting him explore the riverwalk (her suggestion of location which was awesome!) and every few minutes she'd get a few of the three of us together. When we did, she made suggestions that were great for Jon and I, and focused on making Declan smile at her. There was no pressure to have a perfect picture or hurry and get something taken. We just felt like we were hanging out, and she happened to be there and friends with us Luckily Caili is SUPER talented because my son was cooperative for about 15 minutes and then was over it. In fact, he peed through his pants which I found absolutely hysterical. I mean, is that real or what?! The photos she got are just spectacular. We are laughing a ton as per usual, and she captured his silly, loud personality so well. She also got some beautiful shots of my pregnant belly which I didn't do the first time around. In fact, there is a way to do a classy maternity shoot! We are beyond impressed with Caili's photography, her ability to entertain and make my son laugh, to make my hubby feel comfortable, her suggestions on a few family shots, and mostly it was just fun to hang out with her. I can't wait to have her do our second sons newborn shoot in just a few weeks when he arrives! When my (now) husband and I decided to elope in Chicago, even though we were forgoing all the extra…read morestuff that comes with a wedding I still wanted a photographer to document the day... and not just the 5 minute ceremony but a whole photo shoot around Chicago! I found Caili (and a billion others) through a Google search. The quality of her photos, sweet blogging each of the couples, and general feel of her photography put her at the top of my list. I was thrilled when she said she was available and the price was right. :) I created a Pinterest board of places I thought would be beautiful and poses I loved. Being from Texas, who knew if my laundry list of spots was even feasible. Caili looked through my board and came up with a game plan for a two hour photo shoot. Fast forward to the actual elopement day... the second coldest of the year! The high that day was 7 degrees, and the wind was howling! The weatherman said wind chill was -15 degrees. Despite the bitterly cold weather, we trucked on! Caili had such a positive attitude and was genuinely fun to spend the day with. I can't imagine freezing with any other photographer. :) Within an hour or two she sent me a couple of her favorite shots for us to use to share the news. Before the photo session, Maija made several great recommendations of the locations based on the types of looks I'm looking for. During the photo session, she suggested different things we can do and made our 13mo giggles a lot, despite the fact he wasn't feeling great since that morning. After the photo session, she quickly put together a preview gallery for us to look at. Another plus is the fee structure she has. It was broken into two parts - a session fee and image & print package. I really like the idea that I can choose the amount of prints after I see the preview gallery. Of course we purchased the whole package since everything was perfect.

Where do I start…read more From the day we emailed a quote request to the moment he left us at the reception our interactions with Tim (and Bethany) were all positive. We first met Tim at a neighborhood Starbucks to get a good look at his work from start to finish. He was able to provide weddings in full and not just some of his top shots. This provided me with the confidence I needed to book him. We drove home from the meeting and we're like giddy kids that had just met a new best friend. We went ahead a day or so later and signed the contract via email. Needless to say, we were extremely satisfied with the level of professionalism we received from Tim through all of our communications. Moving on to the ceremony and reception. Tim and Bethany arrived to our contract locations on time and once they got to work, you barely even noticed they were there. But looking through my pictures, I was so happy with all the little details they caught in my home, my hotel room and during the ceremony and reception. I was in tears (of happiness) at how special they made my wedding day simply by capturing some of the silly, fun and sweet things that happened that day. I have to mention this, and I hope she'll laugh...At one point before the reception, Bethany even hooked me up with some of HER bobby-pins and post ceremony, helped scrub a small mud stain or two out of my dress. Tim and Bethany are a dream come true and truly some of the best people we have ever worked with…read more Starting with our engagement photos, Tim worked with us to find the perfect locations and made sure we were completely comfortable for the first session. We didn't know what to expect going in, but it was such a fun day and the pictures turned out absolutely gorgeous! He seriously thinks of everything and takes some of the most beautiful photos I have ever seen. He captured our happiness and excitement perfectly at the time of our engagement. Organizing and planning for the wedding day with Tim was also extremely easy, he is super responsive and easy to work with! Also, aside from amazing photos, early in our planning process he gave us some vendor recommendations - many of which we ended up also working with who were equally as amazing. For the main event, our wedding, Tim and Bethany truly went above and beyond. We were working with a tight timeline which included a first look with the groom, my dad, and my bridesmaids as well as two different getting ready locations, and a large wedding party. None of this phased them at all - our timeline was managed perfectly while still getting all the photos we wanted. They also helped us pick the perfect locations for our photos - the Ambassador balcony for our first look and a park for additional pictures that allowed us to be by the lake/city, and still close enough to the ceremony location. Tim and Bethany were also snapping pictures when we didn't even know it! We have so many special photos of memories we didn't even expect, like crossing the street to the church with my sister holding my dress and my sister helping my mom with her dress. They worked flawlessly throughout the event, and I hardly even knew they were there! Tim also made sure I got all the different friend shots I wanted and worked with my sister to round everyone up!
