Juan did an incredible job for us! From estimate through completing the job, he was wonderful. He refinished about 1,300 sq ft of original pine floors in our Ghent home. They had DEFINITELY seen better days (can you say lime green paint?) but you can't even tell now. The best part? He started earlier than he had estimated and finished in THREE DAYS. He and his crew worked their butts off working long hours to finish the job, and dang did they do well. Also hats off to his crew, they were courteous and nice. He worked around our movers schedule too, and when they broke a window (ugh) he even offered to tape the window for us. Thank you Juan for the awesome job you did on our 1700 sq. ft. condo floors. We connected with Juan via a neighbor who also had flooring installed. He (Juan) came, he saw, he measured and sent us to ProSource to view and purchase our flooring. By the way great 'professional' store with 'tons' of choices. We purchased luxury vinyl planking (LVP). Juan's team delivered our flooring and after the flooring had acclimated; they came to tear down old and install new. We had removed ALL of our knick knacks, etc. (ugh) and the crew (three wonderful and respectful guys) moved ALL of our furniture as they worked from room to room. They had to remove glued down kitchen flooring (faux wood) and carpet; and every single piece went back to their trucks for removal! Yeah! Then came the exciting part - putting down the flooring - he consulted us for all decisions. He also customized our stairs (with real wood) to match the LVP and it is beautiful. AND they cleaned up after the work. The value of the work (pricing of LVP and installation) is beyond anything you would get using a big box store. Personal and precise and asked us for feedback after the process. And did I say - So personable. Thanks for the great job. We had our floors sanded, refinished and repaired by Juan Jorge and he did an unbelievably great job. I initially called and left a voicemail and he got back to me later that day. We had four companies come to give us quotes, and he was by far the most thorough, patient, and fairly priced option. He does not nickle and dime. He charges the same for water based and oil based finishes. We had a section of the floor that sank about 3/4", and he did a great repair. The transition is seamless and I cannot tell where he started and stopped. We have old floors and he chose to feather red and white oak to match the character in 100 year old floors. He sets a very high bar and treated us like family. He has a busy schedule but is definitely worth any wait. After he started working on our floors, the heat went out. Instead of pushing through, collecting money and moving on to the next job he was willing to wait a week to finish our floors. This was an unexpected hiccup in his schedule, but he was very patient. The weather was cold and he was afraid that our floors may buckle down the road if they hadn't acclimated to a proper temperature before he refinished the floors. He has a really fancy dust containment system and there was virtually NO dust from sanding the floors. After his jobs, he gets professional cleaners to clean your house from top to bottom. He uses high quality European finishes that look great and soak super deep. Juan did some test stains on our actual floors to help us dial in on the exact stain we liked. He is extremely knowledgeable and passionate about his work. You will be thankful as we are that you gave Juan a call!! read more
