I rarely get gas and never really pay attention to the price but this seemed like a crazy difference. For kicks, I went to the Mobil station in Glencoe (less than 4 minute drive) and they had the gas prices at $3.999 for the (93) and $3.499 for the (89). This difference seemed much more normal. I called the store to ask and the manager tried to say that he has to pay a $.90 premium for the higher octane gas. He must be the only station in the country that has to do so. Or is it that he is in 60093 zip and wants to see what he can get away with? Stay away from this place!!

The "owner" quickly came out and poured kitty litter all over the puddle of gas, and when I challenged the fact that I was actually paying for the gas that leaked out the hose, he said he wasn't responsible, that I should have been watching the entire time the gas was pumping, rather than sitting in my car. There is now a major amount of gas on the ground covered in kitty litter. No cat around, so this must be a chronic problem.
