Mr. Packer was very thorough. He was very experienced and knowledgeable. He was also very organized and very easy to talk to. I feel relieved getting this done. Thank you Mr. Packer!

He was not there when I showed up for my appointment…read more The ladies at the desk assured me he had the tax expertise I needed for foreign earned income. They scanned my tax documents to give to him. After a couple of emails from him, and also the manager Chuck King, I realized Scot was not experienced in foreign earned income. Chuck was helpful at first in picking up where Scot left off in lack of email response, but is now ignoring me as well. I have requested my tax documents 3 times, after the second email, I got a response from Chuck telling me my documents were on My Block, which I have now combed over and I cannot find them. I emailed Chuck about not being able to find them, and have gotten zero response. I had asked if they could file an extension, and they said they were going to charge me $99, since they will no longer be doing my taxes. I am overseas, thought my taxes would be taken care of, and didn't bring them with me to work. I would have liked to get my return by the time I get home for a vehicle I need buy, but that won't be happening thanks to this HR Block's massive incompetency. I came to HR Block for years before this, I have never had this horrible experience. Obviously, you guys can handle the simple stuff, but anything else or having customer service...not at this branch. Go elsewhere. I will be.

Everyone these days seems to want you to drop off your paperwork and then just wait. We have been in search of a tax preparer who would sit with us, do our taxes "with" us there in his presence, answer our many questions, and then give us some great advice and suggestions. Brian is very nice and very professional. If you want someone who has their own office (not in their garage), who takes their time to explain the details, go over your tax return in detail, and someone who is knowledgable, then I would highly recommend Brian at Idaho Tax Prep. We are super happy with our final choice in selecting him as our tax preparer.

I had to review my return and correct some inaccuracies with numbers I provided to them. Being a bookkeeper I had all my information, data and spreadsheets ready for return preparation and provided it to their office. I did not get all my questions answered. I am not confident my return was accurately completed. After all the issues I was charged $500 for preparation of an easy return; when I was told before I even went in for the appointment that the charge would be $200-$250. I brought my concerns to the President's attention, Brad Ryan, and have not had them addressed. As a solo business owner I would not recommend using CR&C for tax preparation.
