I called on Saturday, 08/24/2024, to have an…read moreofficer come out and assist my family and I about an aggrevated stalking and the dispatcher hung up on me while we were on the phone and no officer even came to check on us to make sure my children and I were fine. My daughter locked herself and her little brother, my son, in the bathroom and called the police also because she was scared and no officer at all arrived to our apartment complex and the man put his hands on me as well as threw a huge branch at me and no officer showed up at all!! Don't call the police here in Jacksonville. If you have a serious situation occur they will either not come out at all cus someone is not dead or they will take an hour to come out and do what THEY call "Help". If a situation that has to do with the other individual touching you or threatening you and your family's life , they won't show up and dispatch will hang up on you. Take it upon yourself and harm the individual in YOUR property (Also, what another police told me if a serious situation occurs) don't call them because they will not help!! That is what I'm going to do the next time this man shows up trying to attack me. First , I'm getting a restraining order and when he comes around because I'm sure he is, I'm going to take matters into my own hands!!!

Yes, Limp Bizkit is a Jacksonville, Florida and I am sure have traversed Mathews Bridge many times. Mathews Bridge spans the St. Johns River and was built back in 1953. The Bridge is named after John E. Mathews, who was a Florida state legislator and Chief Justice of the 1955 Florida Supreme Court. A cool side note, the bridge was originally silver, but in 1984 the Bridge was painted maroon to commemorate the Jacksonville Bulls of the United States Football League being formed in Jacksonville, Florida. This bridge offers a good view and is definitely a part of Jacksonville lore and a definitive part of its landscape.

Going from downtown- this bridge connects to the Arlington Expressway and eventually turns into Atlantic- 115, and parents live off Atlantic. I love traveling this bridge at night with the city lit up~ the lights of the bridges glittering against the water. Just my fav! I confess- being stuck int traffic on this bridge sucks! An eternal flame is on top and the wall contains the names of officers killed here in the past starting with Marshal John Yeomans in 1840. It is a lovely wall and beautifully done. Just last year (in 2018) three new statues were added. Two of the new statues stand on both sides of the wall, and the third statue kneels before it placing a red rose near the blue line that surrounds it. It is very moving and it allows us all to remember those who serve and protect. The uncertainty our law enforcement officers face every day shouldn't be dismissed. Simply put...they keep us safe...let us not forget...
