Go team! The goal of the program is to foster early childhood literacy by providing free books and reading events in laundromats all over the country. The foundation like to focus especially in underserved neighborhoods by providing free laundry days for the parents and have some volunteers read to the kids while the parents are doing their clothes. Its a win win! We came by a while back to collect the books and were so impressed by the amount of books donated. Not only that the quality of the books were unbelievable. There weren't cheapy books that you get at the dollar store. No there were high quality books for children from infants to about 8-10 years old. Wow, really touched by that. Thank you guys for such generosity!

In a desperate attempt to make my boys' life easier, we went looking for an alternative, by a recommendation from friends, we landed at Creme. To this day, I could not be happier! First, the boys are thriving, they are well cared for and most importantly, they are happy, they actually say "we want to go to Creme". Second, the staff has been not only accommodating but incredibly nice and very supportive of my boys and of us as parents, it has that "part of the family" feeling. Do yourself a favor and look for nothing else out there, this is it.

The leadership team is sweet and caring and knows all of the kiddos. I always felt like the communication was open. I liked the small size of the infant rooms and the teachers were amazing. Plus both of them had been there for a while. My son was in the older infant class for only a short time before we moved so I don't have as much experience with them. I will say there were 2 constant teachers in that class and the the other ones seemed to switch out too often for my comfort. Overall, my son had a good experience at this school and I'd recommend it to anyone.

After months of research, weeks…read moreof visiting other nearby schools, and several months of trying out a few different nannies, we ended up choosing Primrose Peachtree Corners. My first impression was that the school was warm, safe, and had it's act together. Every staff member and teacher I met was kind and professional, and everyone seemed genuine. Seems to be very little turnover as well, and people have been working there for a really long time. I really thought my twins would have a terrible time transition once they started, because they had pretty severe separation anxiety. However, they literally stopped crying at drop off after just 1 week of attendance, and I saw them smiling and having fun in the pictures sent by the school within the first few weeks. They even would cry about having to leave school when I went to pick them up to go home, and my super shy and suspicious kids were hugging the teachers goodbye within just a couple of weeks. This really speaks volumes to how the teachers and staff really know what they are doing, are engaging and building a relationship with the kids, and that my kids feel safe and are having fun. We've been attending for 4 months now, and my kids love going to school, love their teachers, and I can tell they're learning and getting stimulated everyday. My first impressions of the school and staff are all still the same even after all these months. They also cook their meals onsite, and the snacks and meals are generally healthy: the only better alternative I've seen are Korean daycares. Compared to the other American daycares - big or small - this school's menu has been the healthiest I've seen. There were very minor things I've had to call or talk to the school about, but with anything I've brought up they were super receptive and responsive. Anyway in conclusion, nothing but good things to say about this school, and our family could not survive without them!

The teachers are wonderful and do truly care about the children! The tadpoles app is great as you can receive pictures and updates on your child throughout the day. As a very involved parent, I can confirm that their is open communication with the teachers and staff. More so than any other daycare.

My son flourished here under the supervision of wonderful teachers and owners, he graduated two years ago and they still love seeing him. My daughter still attends and will be graduating in the next 6 months. I think what I love most about this place is that it's not corporate and the attention from Alyssa, Jessica and Steve make it what it is today. They use the Tadpoles app to keep us up to date with our kids via pictures and notes along with daily reports. They are so awesome and accommodating. My son graduated and started school and the only bad thing was that he was so far advanced than any other kids in kindergarten, he got bored in school. Now he is in first grade and reads at a 4th grade level and top of the class...I know this is because of the Stepping Stones foundation he got. They have recently expanded and taking more students, if you are in the market for a new school; this is the only place to stop. You and your child will love the community they have created.

Our family was part of this school for nearly three years, and during that time my daughter thrived. She made lifelong friends, learned so much, and came home happy every single day. The first few weeks was (understandably) a bit tough for my kiddo as he adjusted to not being at home and the center of attention. Within two months, my kid started LOVING this school, and looking forwards to going in the mornings. Now, at 2.5 years old, he goes 5 days a week and he still loves it. He has made friends, and chatters so positively about all of his teachers. I love that whenever we drop him off or pick him up, all the teachers know and greet him by name, and her recognizes all of them as well. The teachers really make an effort to get to know all the kids, even ones not in their class. I love the community feel of this school, and I love how much all the teachers really care. The curriculum is great - there are a TON of extra activities that are organized by the school (firefighter and policeman visits, carnivals, egg hunts, holiday events etc etc etc). The school itself is a half-day program (9-1) with additional 'afterschool activities' (1-2) that you can sign your child up for. They do follow the Gwinnett Public School calendar for school holidays/closings, but they do offer some weeks of 'summer school' programs as well. I literally cannot say enough good things about this school!

Like Heidi, I have never reviewed anything online but as a longtime parent of Primrose Johns Creek…read moreNorthwest, I felt a response to the review by Amy L. just had to be written. I was fortunate enough to spend the first six months of my daughter's life at home with her. When I was preparing to return to work fulltime I looked at every daycare in a 5 mile radius. When I say look, I mean more than just looking at a website - I went and visited everyone. When I walked into Primrose for the first time, I felt the warmth of the staff immediately. Director Caryn sat down with me and answered all the questions I could think of and more. Then I got a tour - not just of the infant room but every room. I met every teacher and staff member. Every classroom I walked into was full of calm, happy children engaged in age-appropriate learning. After looking at the other options, including the Goddard School, it was a no brainer that my daughter was going to Primrose. So, in March 2010, I left my daughter at Primrose for the first time. Needless to say, I was a mess leaving my daughter for the first time - NOT because I didn't trust the staff - NOT because I thought my daughter's needs wouldn't be met - because I was going to miss her terribly. I stood in the lobby and sobbed while Caryn and Miriam tried to comfort me and assure me that my precious one would be fine. I arrived at work to find an email waiting for me from Primrose attached was a picture of my happy daughter playing. Then, a few hours later, I got a call from Caryn just to assure me that things were going great and not to worry. This was not an exception. This is their standard practice. Throughout my daughter's time there, I get random emails with pictures and phone calls when they know I might just want to know how things are going. The staff knows that their job isn't just inside their classroom, it extends outward to the parents. Throughout my daughter's time at Primrose the communication has remained stellar. Daily reports went home every day until she started in the Pre-K classroom where we receive weekly reports. When I or my husband picked her up we knew how much she ate, how long she slept, her disposition, her favorite activities, and when diapers were changed or as she grew when she went potty. Within a month, the entire staff knew her name and ours. They ask about our weekends and vacations. They are an extension of our family. I have never seen teachers or administrative staff have so much patience with children. Time-outs are a last resort of a child acting up. Since all classrooms have a minimum of two teachers, one is able to take a child acting out to the side to calmly try and work through what is going on. They spend countless hours with what I would call a "problem child" trying to help them better deal with conflict. I have seen this in action numerous times. No place is perfect and the times we have had concerns, they have been met with genuine concern from Caryn, Brandi, Miriam, and the owners Rich and Ginger. Issues were addressed quickly and they also made sure we always knew what the resolution was. I have NEVER heard Caryn or any of the staff speak negatively about any child or parent. They are extremely discrete. After 4 years, I can say that the staff of Primrose are consummate professionals. A brief comment on artwork. My daughter has come home with scads of artwork since her first week in the infant class. We have a flag made with her foot and thumb prints in a frame from her time in the infant room. In fact, she come home with so much artwork, I can't keep it all. Kids get sick. Any group of people in close quarters on a daily basis will "share" germs. One person gets a cold in my office and it will make the rounds. You cannot expect any daycare to be germ-free. The staff does send sick children home immediately and is stringent in following through to make sure the child does not return until they are no longer contagious. I know this is a long review but I think my point has been made - Primrose School of Johns Creek northwest is an exceptional place and I feel very strong about it. I feel the staff's genuine love for each child every morning. Caryn Price is an amazing director, keeping the perfect balance or caring and discipline. Brandi Bounds, assistant director (rightly promoted into this position from teacher) has a smile and hug for every child. The owners Rich and Ginger are always onsite and know every child by name. I cannot imagine leaving our precious daughter anywhere else every day. I never worry about her safety, health or happiness when I kiss her goodbye. Aristotle sad that "excellence is a habit" and the staff of Primrose exhibit this habit every day.
