I used to hate going to the dentist but now that I started seeing Dr. Mercado and his team, my…read moreanxiety about dental treatments has been severely reduced. I experience moderate discomfort during routine dental visits, and his team always goes above and beyond to ensure that I'm comfortable throughout my visit. My former dentist would fault me for this: "you dont floss enough or brush thoroughly..etc" was their reason for my consistent discomfort. At this clinic, I experience none of that. You're uncomfortable? Okay we'll numb you- no more pain and leaving in a bad mood after treatment. I am always greeted very kindly by the girls up front and my hygienist. Hearing everyone talk and laugh frequently with Dr. Mercado goes to show that it's a healthy work environment and enjoyable place to work. I really value that component and it positively impacts the energy of the clinic. Thank you all for always taking such good care of me even though I'm high maintenance and extra sensitive

Hello, my name is Tony. The tech whitening my teeth at Dr.Mercado DDS wasn't at all gentle or…read morecareful. She pulled my mouth so wide open she literally tore my labial tissue connecting my lip to my gums. If that wasn't bad enough, she carelessly spilled the bleach in my mouth, on my nose, tongue, upper & lower gums and outer lip. It burned so bad i had blisters in my upper and lower gums, outside my lips and on the right side of my nose. It burned and blistered from Friday to Monday. As a retired cop, I've been maced many times in the line of duty, but this was so much worse. After the fact, she did apologize, the carelessness was nonetheless unacceptable. Dr.Mercado did check in with me, but provided no form of compensation for a job that was incomplete nor for what I had unfortunately gone through. Im not only paying a small fortune for my procedure, but it seems as though every time I go there I'm being billed for something else outside of what I initially agreed to. I had assumed that for the high price tag it was all inclusive. I was wrong. I was charged for a tooth exam and was told I needed nearly 5 thousand dollars more in dental work. Funny, because my last visit to my local hygienist/Dentist, said my teeth looked great that my hygiene was great snd my gums were doing much better. Not at all happy thus far for the tremendous amount of money I've paid thus far. My experience has been one big disappointment after another. If something doesn't change soon, I will stop going to this practice. Could this just be an isolated incident, maybe, but all it takes is one bad experience to ruin a persons day or in my case-weekend.

Update to the bottom portion of my review. I met with Dr. Bill Bragg and the reason he has such…read moregreat reviews, is because he is a really nice guy. I was disappointed with my appointment though. After waiting for him for an hour and 10 minutes past my appointment time, I was getting very impatient. While I do appreciate him taking time with his patients (a very important part of practicing) maybe he shouldn't have so many appointments then. Making someone wait that long is just not fair, guess my time is not important. Secondly I was referred to him from another surgeon that met with me and said I needed surgery but was booked out farther than I liked. When I met with Dr. Bragg, he did not believe I needed surgery (even know I know my body, have been dealing with the pain for several months and have already had this injury on the other shoulder a few years back that last almost two years before I moved forward with surgery, clearly it is not going to just heal). The Dr and I agreed to disagree, which I can appreciate his opinion. He is entitled to his and I am entitled to mine. I just don't understand why I had to waste my time when the office knew I was being referred to discuss surgery, I confirmed that when I was on the phone with them. Lastly the location of the office (not the Dr's fault), is a nightmare!! You all can keep the downtown Sac area, I want nothing to do with it. One way streets, NO parking... stupid. This office has valet parking, for $5.00 CASH. When I pulled up the attendant did not tell me that they had an ATM, so I had to leave and go find one several blocks away, only to come back and then he told me they had one. First it is was $12.00 cash, then it was $5.00 Cash. (something shady going on here!) 08/17/2016-Disclaimer on my review... I have not seen the Dr yet but the front office staff is usually a huge deciding factor for me when deciding what Dr's I wish to get medical opinions from. The front office called me to book an appointment with the Dr surgeon due to a surgery I need to have on my torn rotator cuff. The office was friendly, answering all my questions and very accommodating to my concern about needing to get in quickly. I did some research on the Dr after they called me ( I got referred by my regular Dr), and he comes highly recommended on the Internet. Fingers crossed that since the office was so great, I will equally love the Dr. Meeting with him next week, I'll update my review after I meet him.

I had a hernia surgery on April 10 at Sutter Hospital. I have had sciatica for 12 weeks post op,…read moredue mostly to a nerve root block given by his anesthesiologist Joshua Melvin. I advised Dr. Rajwani pre op that I had previously suffered a failed back surgery, and wanted to make sure that the hernia surgery would not affect my back. Dr. Rajwani never mentioned he would order a nerve root block before the surgery. Dr. Melvin entered my room at Sutter Hospital just before the surgery began, and advised me that Dr. Rajwani ordered a nerve root block, and I had all ready been somewhat sedated before the surgery. At this point I had no option but to go ahead with the surgery, since I need to have my hernia surgery completed. Dr. Melvin performed the nerve root block with an injection in my back, thus causing in my opinion sciatica for the past 12 weeks. Dr. Rajwani would state 3 weeks after the surgery that Dr Melvin was supposed to advise me that the nerve root block was only optional before the surgery. Dr. Rajwani did not even know that Dr .Melvin performed the nerve root block in my back, and not in my front side. Dr. Rajwani needs to advise patients about nerve root blocks in his meeting with patients BEFORE THE SURGERY. Dr. Rajwani also probably needs to get rid of DR. Melvin, because there is a real disconnect between the two of them, and only the patient suffers. I wish I would have gone to the Mayo Clinic or Cleveland Clinic for this procedure. Dr. Rajwani may be a good surgeon, but he needs to have a better team. The hernia surgery MAY have been a success, but who knows with the sciatica going on now. Larry Carli

This is a long delayed review, but no less sincere and positive. Dr. Rajwani is a talented and…read moreskilled surgeon, who specializes in Endocrine surgeries. His approach is thorough and cautious, which should be the approach with any invasive surgery -- in my case a large goiter in my neck. Besides talent, he also has a wonderful bedside manor, explaining everything completely and patiently until I felt as comfortable as possible moving forward. I believe Dr Rajwani has a bright future and recommend him without reservation.
