She really tells you what the issues are and I had a very positive first experience with her. She's straight forward and she used the Gottman's as a foundation to help guide and navigate situations for couples. I've only had one session so far but I feel very validated and heard. Prior to John, I had an everlasting feeling of impending doom that I could not comprehend. John listened to all of my problems while I was talking 1000 words per minute and was able to help me understand the root causes of my anxiety. After that came the coping mechanism and practices to rebuild the neuropathways to be freed from anxiety. After starting counseling with John, I have moved out to Washington, DC, gotten a promotion at my job, built better friendships and I feel comfortable in my own skin anywhere I go. His office is located near the rockville Trader Joe's which is a convenient location.
