Previously an acupuncture skeptic, I am now convinced that traditional medicine works and is great especially when used alongside modern medicine. Dr. Tae is world class in acupuncture and herbal medicine and has a lot of patience and empathy for his patients. I first started going to Dr. Tae because of a torn Achilles - he treated me pre-surgery to help with my anxiety and reccomended herbs to reduce post surgery inflammation. I was doubtful at first, but when my orthopedic saw the operated ankle, he was in shock at how minimal the swelling and inflammation was. Post surgery, Dr. Tae performed acupuncture to help with inflammation, pain, scarring, healing/strengthening of the surgical area - all of this (alongside PT) pushed me on the recovery fast track and sped up the process to literally help me get back on my feet. The whole process is calming and gentle and the environment is relaxing. I find acupuncture to be a valuable complementary therapy alongside my regular health routine. I now go to Dr. Tae for holistic health and my other sports related injuries.

A friend recommended Dr. Zhang for acupuncture, and since this was my very first time trying it, I decided to give it a chance. The clinic environment is wonderfully clean and comforting. After a brief chat, Dr. Zhang immediately sensed my frequent anxiety. She was incredibly gentle and reminded me that I need to protect my own energy before I can take care of others. Sitting with her, I felt so safe and relaxed that I couldn't help but burst into tears--which ended up being such a necessary emotional release. The treatment itself was completely painless! I honestly couldn't feel the needles at all. I stayed for a 30-minute session, and by the time I got home that evening, my period had started--a clear sign that my body's qi and blood circulation were activated. That night, I slept soundly all the way through until morning, and I woke up the next day feeling full of energy and vitality. I'll definitely be continuing my treatment here for the next two months and am really looking forward to more good news. Highly recommended!

Dr. Zhang also modifies the treatment each visit based on how my symptoms evolve, and is very attentive to my complaints. On top of her expertise, the office is clean and the atmosphere soothing. Acupuncturist Lisa is also extremely pleasant to talk to, and I enjoy our conversations each and every time I visit. I highly recommend this place--10 out of 10. I was looking for the right words to try and aptly introduce the amazing Dr DeRiggi and am still searching. I love chiropractic care and swear by it. As my mother was having some digestive, knee and extremity issues, I looked for a chiropractor close to her home for alternative and natural healing. Lucky for me, I found DeRiggi Family Chiropractic on Old Country Rd in Plainview. I felt the warmth, the genuine concern from Lauri as she answered the phone and took all the necessary information, called me right back after verifying her insurance coverage and accommodated Mom at the very last minute on a Friday for a new patient first visit which takes longer. Proactive as she asked me to fill out the new patient paperwork prior so as to save time. We got the same contagious warmth, welcome and love as we walked in the door to this immaculate office. We got to meet the wonderful Teresa who was also just so kind, patient and understanding. Meeting Doc DeRiggi was something special: he was sweet, oozing with love, very patient, all about helping the person in front of him, very easygoing and very, very sharp and thorough. He connected with Mom and explained everything in simple terms with her all around well being being paramount- not just immediate relief but long term. Loved it!! Based on Mom's age and specific health issues he adjusted her with a hand held activator vs doing a manual two hand adjustment. Mom left feeling great right after the first visit. She was inspired and motivated to start changing her diet and do her exercises. This is HUGE!! I can't thank Doc DeRiggi, Teresa and Lauri enough. Doc you are a natural healer who is straightforward and gets to the source of the issue, not someone who merely band aids the symptoms and your team is right there with you. Truly grateful! This beautiful, warm and inviting office is open 6 days a week M - Sa and is located on the north side of Old Country Rd between S Oyster Bay Rd and Rt 135. A Blessing! So very grateful!!
