After googling about hair salon nearby 2nd district and read the Yelp reviews, I have decided to give this one a chance and I am not disappointed. It's only 20 min easy walk from north to south of the 2nd. My stylist is Joseph. He speaks very good English. We have no problem communicating. Cost is very reasonable. He takes his time and listens to my request and questions. He is friendly and genuine. The salon is not luxury but clean, tidy and cozy. In two hours, we have completed coloring using natural products ( no ammonia), deep natural hair treatment, hair cut and styling. Before the service, I looked like a person who desperately need to be fixed by a professional hair stylist. Well, it's been more than 3 months without seeing anyone. After seeing Joseph, I look all brand new. What a relief and walking away with a big smile on my face. I of course have booked my next appointment with him in July as soon as I'm done. Highly recommended this place if you don't speak much French. I'm a happy and lucky customer. Will be a repeated customer.

The owner knows some english and was the one who cut my hair. She was very nice, has 10 years of experience and did a good job cutting my hair! As always, make sure you are specific with what you want and don't want done to your hair. The products smell great, are organic and not tested on animals! Call or walk-in to make an appointment, but not everyone there knows Englsih so it may be better to walk-in if your French is not the best.

I visited salon Caractères with a girl friend, the experience we had there was beyond expectations…read more The staff was super nice, friendly, patient and most of all very dedicated to the satisfaction of their clients (at least they were with us). We could say they tried their best to make us comfortable, and happy with our hairstyle change. They were very attentive to understand what we want, and they explained the steps and recommended things whenever we asked. They all did a really professional and tedious job (I did a tie & dye and my friend did a coloration and balayage). They spent over 4 hours for both of us in parallel. The result was mind-blowing ! We will absolutely come back ! We LOVED this salon ! Thanks to the amazing team for the makeover !

Quand je suis arrivée avec mes bagages, ils se sont moqués de moi et m'ont dit qu'il était trop tard. J'ai même proposé de faire uniquement un brushing à la place du soin initialement réservé, étant donné l'importance de l'occasion. Ils ont continué à rire en disant que c'était impossible -- en particulier Lea, la jeune employée à qui j'avais été adressée.
