Laverdure et Fils is one of the last great supply stores in Paris for artisans and professional tradesman. However, I would not call this a hardware store, especially that which is depicted in the photo with the hammer and screws. That picture sends the wrong message. They had everything I needed, but with only one clerk at the counter and a half dozen or so people like me delighted to have found their homeware eldorado, what should have been a five minute shopping spree took more like 30 minutes to complete. Nevertheless, this is a handy address to have on hand when you need a last minute shipping box, paint brush, light bulb near the Arts et Metier station.
