initially found Mancuso Photography on Yelp. We had contacted 2 or 3 other photographers that just didn't feel connected and/or what we were looking for overall. Joseph and Mary are two genuine people that truly care about their trade and treat your event as if it was their own. Their overall attention to detail was exact, the ease of dealing with Joe and Mary was seamless, and of course their quality of work was far beyond what my wife or I could have asked or wished for. As well and this should be noted, dealing with Joe and Mary was precise and punctual, our 2 or 3 appointments were exactly on time and very well organized, when they said they'd be at my house to shoot at 3pm they were at our door at 2:55 ready to go, they gave us a full, true ten hours of quality service from start to finish. I found Joe by accident when I googled for affordable photography for my daughters Bat Mitzvah on September 20, 2014. . I spoke to two others that I had found but I was a little leary. When I spoke to Joe I knew immediately that he was going to be the one. Upon meeting him he and Mary made me feel right at home walking me through every detail, showing me their amazing work. I gave a deposit right away and left there feeling confident that I had found the most awesome photographer. The night of my party Joe and Mary took charge and captured the most beautiful pictures of my daughter, my family and my party. They blended right in and are such a pleasure to work with. Nothing is a problem, they are amazing people and everyone from the guests to the catering hall commented on what amazing photographers Joe and Mary were. There are many different types of photographers to choose from. Joe will capture sporadic shots but you will not receive any extraordinary edits as you would with some other photographers. Joe came recommended by our wedding hall so we decides to call him. He met us, showed us these fantastic shots and have a really great price. He offered to take photos at both groom and brides house. The day before he called to confirm locations and where we were taking pictures. He said he was only going to my wife's house and not mine. After reminding him of his first agreement, joe did stick to his word. Than the day of the wedding we went to take pictures at the fort, during fleet week. Unfortunately Joe didn't have a permit so we could not go there. Not to mention it was fleet week so he did not do his homework. He took us to some park next to the fort and had my wife and us walking through a muddy field to get a "great shot". It was so bad that our videographer felt bad and carried my wife because her dress was getting ruined. A few weeks post wedding Joe brings the proof and we ordered our album and folio. Joe tells us 8-12 weeks. After 15 weeks I did not hear from Joe, so I reached out. He told me there was a problem with our folio and his studio was destroyed in hurricane sandy. I am extremely sympathetic and he requests I change two pictures for the folio. Few weeks later I send an email with the requested information. I asked Joe if he ws ever going to call us to notify us of the error or delay and he had nothing to say except sorry. He charged us an extra $40 for 4 5x7s.The album did come out beautiful. My sister got married a month after us and used a different photographer and it is a totally different style of photographers to compare. If you are looking for a photographer who will have special effects and a glass cover album, than it is not joe. Joe is traditional and will capture the moment with out alterations. read more
