Midnight munchies 2022
Franklin M.

We stopped by late for our midnight munchies meal. We ordered three different tacos and a bean & cheese burrito with the hottest sauce. The older gentleman told me to add the hot chili myself because he wasn't sure I could handle the heat. I laughed and told him bring it on and that I love hot chili. The food was really good and that chili was hot and it crept up and was burning my mouth at the end of my meal.

On our way from a family gathering and we told our dad we wanted tacos. We figure he was taking us to a spot he knew about. Well we end up at Jorge's tacos, best tacos we've tasted in a long time. Will definitely be back. We also met Jorge, nice guy. Thank you Jorge for being so welcoming. Will be back. If you're ever in the area stop by and have a bite. Not only were the tacos good but the mulita's were amazing!!!

Came to LA for a first time late night Taco dinner and JORGES was definitely a PERFECT CHOICE! Jorge and his very friendly staff was most welcoming to a newbie like myself and even wasent a bit camra shy neither. If anyone is near this spot 7days a week PLEASE SAVE YOURSELF ALLOT OF TIME AND TRY A TACO OR TWO FROM JORGE'S. A HUGE THANKS FROM SAN FRANCISCO JORGE!!!!!! -Michael

I have been coming here since they opened and they used to be the best tequero in East LA. Then they upgraded to a truck and everything went downhill. First off, the guy who hands out the food is a real jerk. If you ask for extra hot sauce he gets attitude and very mad. He will also purposely make you wait if you ask for something (extra hot sauce) after he hands you your food. I even offer to pay, that also doesn't work. I thought it was a one time thing, but after several visits the results are the same. Carne does not taste as fresh as it used to and they take way too long to get your order. The actually they take more than twice as long as before the upgrade. My last visit they forgot my tacos completely, I didn't notice until I got home & I wasn't about to drive threw traffic to get them. Jorge is always very nice, unfortunately he no longer personally delivers the food & pays no attention to the jerk who does.

THE BEST taco truck in EAST LA. Jorges Tacos always comes through with the good food. Their tacos come hooked up with beans and some cucumbers on the side. They have homemade green and red salsa as well and some bomb Horchata & Jamaica. The tortas are well portioned and come with a slice of grilled ham with melted cheese. No matter what you get there you won't be disappointed. I always get greeted with a smile by the owner Jorge and he has the best customer service. Do yourself a favor, stop reading my review and go get yourself something good from Jorges Tacos! Open EVERYDAY except Wednesday.

Jorge's never seems to disappoint. You can never say no to a mulita with crispy cheese around the edges.

Taco truck or mini compound located in a quiet neighborhood in the East LA area. They have a pretty…read morefull menu with all the taco truck classics that you might expect, but I believe they're especially known for their pezcuesos de pollo (fried chicken necks). The people here are very friendly and helpful. And there's some apple seating area, especially since it wasn't super busy. I did come on a late weekday night though. Of course I ordered the pezcuesos de pollo. The price were very reasonable. I got it to go because I was on my way home. And they neatly packaged everything with plenty of the extras like salsa and toppings. I definitely wanna come back and try their other tacos here or other menu items.

I love that Santa Rita Jalisco Taco Truck offers affordable prices and provides seating, which is a rarity among taco trucks in public areas. They also have a sink with soap, water, and paper towels for washing up before and after eating those delicious, messy tacos. I wanted to try the Cabeza tacos and chicken necks after seeing them featured in a video online. I also decided to try some other tacos. The guy at the register recommended the Tripa after I chose Pastor and Asada. All the tacos were excellent! My wife said she had already eaten and didn't want anything, but after I put the order of chicken necks in front of her, she couldn't stop eating them. She especially loved the crispy chicken skin. I wish I had ordered the sauce separately, as she preferred to eat the chicken necks without it. We will absolutely be back for the fried chicken necks! We will definitely be back to Santa Rita Jalisco Taco Truck, and my wife is already planning an empty stomach for our next visit.

As mentioned by other Yelper(s), this taco trunk can be found parked in front of the LAC USC Medical Center building. In fact, I remember seeing more than 1 trucks available, but this white Buenos Tacos (easy to remember) truck is the only one that opens late and on the weekend. But please don't quote me on this. They offer tacos, quesadias, burritos, and tortas, but I am only interested in tacos usually. Regular tacos cost $1.25 each, while tacos de lengua cost $1.50 each. I recommend opting for regular ones, as you can get 4 for $5, no change, no mess. I am not even sure why lengua costs more, or if lengua actually tastes better. Shrug. I got cabeza and pastor to go. The cook was very speedy in cooking, and packed everything in foil for me to keep them warm. Limes was cut up and put in a separate bag for convenience. Both tasted very good! Now, if you cannot handle spicy, you may wanna let him know ahead of time, because after eating all 4, my eyes and nose were runny, and my oral cavity in general was burning. It's a delicious kinda burn, but I could do without it. I also enjoyed the toppings such as cilantro, onion, etc. Get everything on it. I didn't regret it at all for doing so! Specifically, cabeza was visibly more fatty but I liked it that way--it was super yummy. Pastor in comparison was drier, but still very well marinated. They tasted good enough, and were cheap enough, for me to come back and try for more. I'll update you guys if I ever buy their other options: azada, chorizo, pollo, and buche. (Btw, all spelling is per menu on the truck. Some look kinda funky, but I don't speak Spanish, so what do I know.)
