We called around and got a number of estimates to remove it...the prices we got ranged from $4,000 to $10,000!! Tree & Green gave us a good price and we really liked what they told us they would do. Well....they arrived at 7:30 on the day they said they were coming! They were professional, polite and worked non stop! The tree canopy was tied off and removed the first day, placed in the chipper and the largest limbs were left neatly stacked. The following morning they again arrived at 7:30 and by noon that huge tree was cut up and had been hauled off. Not only did they haul every single piece of wood off but they also left out driveway and surrounding area clean as a whistle. Not only did they do a super job but they worked the entire time they were here and were pleasant and polite. EXCELLENT SERVICE!!! We could not have asked for anyone better!

I had cabled it off to a nearby healthy tree several years ago but the base of the tree had deteriorated badly. It was in danger of falling anytime. I called several tree removal companies and had widely varying pricing and scheduling availabilities quoted to me. Tree and Green Services were not the least expensive, but Dan Toddy was the most professional contractor I spoke to. Also, he explained in detail how the work was to be done, was sensitive to my concerns about scheduling, on-site disposal and access to the site. He was very task and customer orientated in every way. Dan re-arranged his schedule to perform the scope of work we agreed to start the next morning at daybreak. Dan and the crew of 8 showed at 7:25 AM and finished at 8:11 AM. It looked like a TEXAS A & M Marching Band Show. If you are going to use wood to flavor your food during cooking, you've got to have a good quality…read morewood to enhance the flavor without any nasty stuff like creosote that you get from wet, damp or contaminated wood. To get good results, you have to pay attention to the details. Just like a quality thermometer to pull that brisket at the right time, you need quality clean burning dry wood. I have a box of Smoak Firewood cherry, white oak, hickory and pecan at the ready at all times, if I get an urge to grill out or smoke on my PK360 or Cookshack. Every box appears to be hand picked, and clean and fresh but most importantly it's kiln dried. Having several boxes at the ready allows me to pick and match the wood to the thing I'm cooking. The owner Amy and staff are incredible folks that can answer any questions you have and even provide appropriately sized pieces. I'd much rather give my money to a local small business like this. If I'm remembering right, I believe they also supply several restaurants with cooking wood. This wood is even packaged so nice, it would be a great gift for a foodie! It was a little more expensive than some, but the quality is better than anything I've had before. Why does that matter? It starts easily but burns much longer. The pieces aren't from a trash tree, no rotten sections, perfectly split and clean. My full wood rack will last much longer than the cheaper products I've used in the past. I am a huge fan.
