The items range from candles to jewelry to blankets to hair clips... and it's all great curated pieces. I'm in a wheelchair; I found the museum to be very accessible. Admission is $10-12 at most, and Veterans are free. But seriously, consider making a donation anyway. The front desk worker was a bit brusque in their interactions, however there were a few of us entering at once, so it might have just been a bit overwhelming for them. As someone on a budget, the price was a little on the high side, however nothing exorbitant. The exhibits were easy to navigate and good use was made of the available space. Artifacts were meticulously laid out both inside the main museum and in the pioneer village. The Great Northern Railway car was open to exploration, which was very neat. The whole pioneer village was well maintained and a great way to get some context for what life in Cashmere was like in the past. I noted a few bloopers on my visit, one concerning geology and one concerning currency. Some people I know love bloopers, in Hollywood they are something that might go wrong in constructing/putting together a movie and are visible in the final product, and they feel it can add to the overall experience. However, I am not currently the biggest fan of bloopers, though I used to enjoy them more, perhaps I am just a bit rusty on their enjoyment value.

From the moment we walked in, I felt like we were being watched the entire time. As a single mom shopping alone with young children, it was incredibly uncomfortable. For context, my children were behaving appropriately. They were not running around the store or touching merchandise. My 5-year-old simply had a pen in his hand while we were shopping. The final straw was when I asked a sales associate if there was an issue with us. She got down to my 5-year-old's level and pretended to punch him. Why would you pretend a punch my five-year-olds to wind him up when you're obviously watching me because you're judging. She appeared to be in a management position, which made the interaction even more upsetting. We still made it to the checkout line, and she continued watching us. At no point did she apologize or acknowledge how uncomfortable the situation had become. I left the earrings and didn't want to purchase. It's frustrating that a children's store could make a parent feel so unwelcome it was actually my two year old that depends. Shopping with kids isn't always easy, but families deserve kindness and understanding--not judgment. I left feeling embarrassed, disappointed, and certain that I will not be returning.

But it's definitely worth the stop especially if you've got young kids. We stopped in on one of the hottest days (96 degrees) to take a break from walking around in the heat. The owners are so helpful and friendly. They walked us through the whole process and helped us along the way when we needed extra hands. They called me back later the same day to say that they had a 'like new' used version of the game in stock, and said I could pick it up today. I said sure and dropped in later the same dayw. The used game as 90% of the price of the new - and I found it new online for the same price - but again, I want to support local, so I went ahead and purchased it. When I got home and opened the used game was not the same as a new game. It was an older version of it, without the updated ruleset, without changes to the board and pieces. It was significantly different and less refined. We recently visited some friends and played the newer version of the game, the version that inspired us to purchase the game, the version I thought I was buying. IT was so much better than the version I was sold. I was a local, loyal customer. I could have bought the game online for the same price. I chose them, and they let me down.
