I was referred to Clifford and Jones by a former client. I incurred an injury in the scope of my employment. Over the three years my case was active, I was always informed, kept up-to-date and received answers to all my questions. Chris Dehner handled my Worker's Compensation issue, while Ross Psyhogios was my attorney representing me in my Personal Injury matter. I was very satisfied with the service I received and extremely happy with the outcome. read more

I was referred to Jones-Clifford and specifically Ross Psyhogios by a friend and was pleasantly rewarded with a guy who explained things in a straight forward down to earth way that put me at ease. Ross seemed to know when to let me vent and then calmly suggest the next step which turned out to be the best, most efficient direction to go. I am grateful for his professional demeanor and ability to explain the process . Any legal issue can be a nightmare and an attorney like Ross Psyhogios is someone who can show you the way. Thank you. read more

Ten out of ten stars!!! I have been a client of Mr. Hansen's for three workplace injuries and through two comp insurance companies. Mr. Hansen and his associates are amazing!!! He helped me get all of the medical treatment and compensation I was due. His team is always very responsive to my calls and emails and are very, very helpful!! read more

Yale jones helped me years ago with a workmen's compensation claim. Took care of everything. It was painless and stress free. Been recommending people to this practice for years. read more

In 2010, I experienced unbearable (and unlawful) workplace harassment and filed a Workers Comp claim which my employer promptly denied. I sought help from attorney Kenneth Sheppard to who I will be grateful for as long as I live. He was a terrific advocate and an absolute pleasure to work with. My first contact was with Kenneth's assistant Miranda who was and remained kind, patient, effective, and efficient. Both Kenneth and Miranda were either readily available to speak with me when I needed it or promptly returned my phone calls and emails. Kenneth did everything needed to get me excellent results. He is not only knowledgeable, skilled, level-headed, and realistic; he is also calm, reassuring, gracious, and generous. For example, after my Award was finalized, my employer took an unreasonable time paying my medical bills. Though Kenneth would not be specifically compensated for it, he filed a Motion with the WCAB and I eventually got paid. Because I have some background in Workers Comp claims and understand the demands, I know Kenneth's level of performance to be exceptional. Also, as a trained attorney who has met a few in my days, I can say without a doubt that Kenneth Sheppard is the finest among us. read more

Two for two! My wife and I used Kenneth Sheppard's services on two occasions. The first was years ago for her workers' comp case that was complex and the type of case big employer's get their legal team to squash. Her gave her excellent counsel and helped her enormously in winning her case. And, we used Kenny again this year for her disability retirement. Again he gave great advice and she was able to have a positive outcome. We are very grateful for his expertise but also for the kind and competent way that he conducts business. He has been a pleasure to work with. I would recommend him highly to anyone who needs assistance with workers' comp or disability retirement. read more

I would marry Kenny Sheppard if he weren't my wife's worker's comp attorney. After my wife's claim was denied, she and I were living on beans without her income, and she was getting no medical treatment. The Bar referred us to a few attorneys, but none of them would would take the case since my wife wasn't dismembered or disfigured enough to make the payout worth their effort. But ever since we contacted Kenny, it's been knight in shining armor stuff. Medical treatment followed quickly, and if all goes well, back pay may be forthcoming soon. Perhaps even most importantly, he actually listened and cared about what happened to her [and me]. In sum, this guy and his assistant rock. I am studying for the bar right now, and Kenny has truly been a model for the kind of lawyer a guy should be. read more

To Angel O.: I, too, was turned down by several workers comp law firms. I also felt like my claim wasn't going to net the firm enough to warrant taking me on as a client. But then I spoke with Mr. Clifford. He took the time to listen, which is more than I can say for the others law firms where I couldn't get past the assistants. I am currently very early in the legal process, but I can say that whenever I have made a call or sent an email regarding my case, a return call was made within 24 hrs (and many times the same day). Wish my W/C insurer were as prompt as these guys. I will let you know how it turns out once we reach a settlerment. Wish me luck. read more

I am a thirty plus year veteran of municipal law enforcement the bulk of which was spent in uniform. For more than half my career I was in a command assignment, so suffice to say I was very comfortable being the guy in control. I first came in contact with this firm in the early nineties...I had a neck issue in which city doctors had determined was not only career threatening but non industrial. Words cannot do justice how frightening and helpless the feeling is to hear that your career is over and you will not be compensated accordingly. I met with Yale Jones and was a "basket case" by the time I landed in his office. I found Mr. Jones to be empathetic, engaged and "in the moment" with me on our initial consult as well as subsequent meetings throughout the process. Suffice to say Mr. Jones prevailed on my behalf and his iconic presence in the workman's comp courtroom was a sight to behold. I bring this experience up as a prelude to the twilight year of my career. I had a number of lingering workman comp issues that trailed my retirement from my employer....issues that were complicated by my employer's financial challenges and the collateral damage that normally attaches to "being long in the tooth" in a police department. I had called a number of attorneys...all of which refused to handle my case. Remarkably, two of the attorneys I spoke to had a reputation for being "a fighter" and "aggressive" but still denied me representation. I had a fair amount of subordinates that were veteran officers who experienced career ending incidents. By this time Alex Wong's name had become a commonplace in our agency...I recall many of them leaving for his office in distress and returning home in a "Zen like" state. I contacted Alex with little hope of retaining his service. Alex agreed to meet with me and discuss my case which, in and of itself, was more than I have received from many others. My first meeting with Alex was much like my first with Yale; I had an equal level of anxiety and frustration. I must say that I found Alex to have an even greater calming demeanor than his mentor. Prior to our meeting I had already become aware of his reputation in knowledge of the law along with the reverence for which he is held in adversarial instances. I had this expectation that (using a doctor as my analogy) I was going to meet a skilled surgeon with little bedside manner. Nothing could have been further from the truth....I found Alex to be in "rarefied air" in terms of his being the whole package...smart, personable, articulate, compassionate and a damn fine attorney. The outcome of my case was more than I had ever hoped for going into the process and its successful resolution is a further testament to Mr. Wong's growing reputation of excellence. While Mr. Wong (unlike his colleague) will not find me on a knee proposing, I will be forever indebted to him and will be proud to call him from this day forward a lifelong friend. read more

I was recommended to this firm by a co-worker to handle my workman's comp and personal injury case. I met with my two attorney's Mr. Clifford and S. Johnson and got the cases rolling. It took just under a year, but it exceeded my expectations. Both attorneys kept me informed either personally, or through their assistants. They were always prompt to get things mailed out, whether it be to my doctors or the city I was working for at the time. I would highly recommend anyone, especially a civil service worker like myself to contact this firm if you find your self in a case of being injured on the job and especially if the injury involves a third party law suit. read more

These are all first rate attorneys that do excellent work. I have known them to represent several of my friends and have always heard glowing reviews of their efforts. At present they are representing me pro bono on an old settled case with SCIF that required me to go back for an involved medical procedure that SCIF was resisting. One of the attorneys,Michael, was instrumental in getting me the needed treatment. I will be forever in their debt for their efforts in this matter. Thank you for caring about us old retired highway cops and doing so without monetary compensation. I would have otherwise been at the mercy of SCIF and I'm sure most of you know where that would have left me. Again thank you for getting me the procedure I so desperately needed to alleviate the pain from an old injury. Sincerely, William J. (Bill) Freeman read more

Ross Psyhogios is a phenomenal attorney. My case was just concluded with the professional law firm of Jones/Clifford.  After being unfairly treated by an insurance company for a claim, Jones/Clifford agreed to take the case and I was assigned to Ross Psyhogios. I am so pleased that I was recommended this law firm. Ross took his time and went over the entire process including the insurance procedures. He did not make assumptions on my behalf, and would call and give detailed updates. Ross treated my case with importance and treated me with respect. He was able to get me the best settlement, more than what I had anticipated. They are knowledgeable and know what steps to take to get the best outcome. Thank you Jones/Clifford, Ross J. Jones Clifford is an excellent firm. My family has used them for Workers Comp and Personal Injury issues. Also, I was referred to this firm from a past client who was very satisfied. I have also referred Jones Clifford to others who were pleased with them. Given my over impression of the attorneys, assistants and office staff far exceeds a 5 star rating. I would highly recommend this firm. read more

Maybe it's the 2 years that have passed since the other reviews here, and how times have been changing, but my partner was turned down by this firm before even being spoken to by one of the attorneys. He's been struggling with a worker's comp claim for over a year now, and at this point his injury has rendered him near unable to walk at all. He has a *very* high tolerance for pain, and I've seen this man at his wits end, almost in a collapse. We've ended up in the ER already, not knowing what to do. And this firm, among others, won't even explain why they are automatically saying "We can't help you." Something's not right, and I'm starting to feel like there's a conspiracy that worker's comp attorneys are in on with the providers (simply meaning an unspoken agreement not to bring any claims that aren't "catastrophic" on their terms - although anyone who's suffered disability due to "lesser" injuries knows quite well how catastrophic the consequences on all aspects of one's life from long-term, permanent injury). So I feel compelled to rate this firm 0 on the basis of lack of communication and automatic refusal. Anyone have some helpful feedback? read more

My attorney with Jones Clifford was competent and able to navigate me through Workman's Comp issues. Ken Sheppard always made time for me with any question I had. He gave me the information I needed to make sound decisions. read more

I have used this wonderful law firm to deal with the injuries that I received durning my 27 years career as a firefighter. My attorney Alex Wong always had my back and made sure that the city that I worked for compensated me for the injuries that were caused by doing my job as a firefighter. I never had to bother Mr. Wong about my case, he just took care of business and kicked butt doing it. When everything was settled he called and we signed the papers. If you need a above great work comp attorney, call this firm! They are the best of the best. Thanks Alex!! read more

I was severely injured and my friend killed by a semi truck rear ending us on the freeway in 2010. I was referred by a customer and friend to Jones Clifford and am so grateful for Kevin Morrison on working so hard to get us the fair compensation we received for all of costs from the accident. Kevin handled my case from start to finish. He worked hard for us and was able to get a fair settlement for all involved. If it wasn't for Kevin, the settlement amount awarded would have been far less. I can't say enough about Kevin and the staff at Jones Clifford. Kevin is a great and compassionate guy. He really took the time with us and was always available when we called or had questions. I highly recommend this firm to anyone looking for an attorney that will WORK FOR YOU!!!! read more

I worked in Public Safety for nearly 30 years and ultimately it took a toll on the body. When I needed representation for my injuries, I didn't think twice about who I would turn to. Alex Wong had assisted our family, and fellow co-workers, in the past and when I called on him, he didn't hesitate to not only represent me, but to meet with my wife and I and make sure he understood my entire history. I would have missed things, but his experience shined through and really helped with my claim. I have always recommended Alex Wong and the entire Jones-Clifford firm based on what he had done for my family and co-workers in the past, and now he raised that bar even higher by doing wonderful work on my claim. His entire team is very professional and understanding and will help guide you through a very challenging process. Be patient, be honest, listen, educate yourself with the process, and by all means call Alex Wong at Jones-Clifford and you will be much more successful throughout the worker's comp. process. Thank you Alex! read more

My main reason for contacting Jones/Clifford was to have my injury, which occurred while working as a firefighter, properly assessed and taken care of. I didn't want to be forced to have procedures that were not in my best interest. Attorney Alex Wong handled my workers comp. injury claim. He made sure I was able to have my injury seen by a physician that had my health as his main priority. During the process I was kept informed of were my case was by Alex or his assistant. The result of my case, was I was able to have surgery, by the physician of my choosing and was financially compensated for my injury afterwards. In addition Alex made sure all the stress of the bureaucracy and red tape of such a claim was not placed on me. I would highly recommend Jones/Clifford and especially Alex Wong. read more

I suffered a career ending injury at work and was referred to Jones Clifford by a friend. I had been treated very poorly by my employer during the course of unrelated legal proceedings prior to my injury and I knew that it was important for me to find a lawyer who would keep my best interest at heart and be willing to fight for me. When I met Kenny Sheppard I suspected that he might have what it takes to do the job the way it should be done, but the only way to know for sure was to put him to the test. Kenny was quickly tested, both by my employer and by me. I was impatient and I had questions about every aspect of the case. Kenny treated me with respect and responded admirably to the pressure. He returned all of my calls in a timely fashion and answered all of my questions honestly. There were questions that he was not able to answer on the spot, and he took the time to do the research required to answer them. I describe this as going above and beyond the call of duty because in my experience, lawyers who work on a contingency basis almost always do little more than what they are required to do once they get the case. I am now enjoying a comfortable (besides the pain) early retirement because he got me a better settlement and retirement package than I thought was possible. The personal interest that Kenny showed in my case made me feel that he truly cared about my welfare and was working for me because he wanted to help as opposed to doing it to collect his fee. I have, and will continue to recommend Jones Clifford, and Kenny Sheppard in particular, to family and friends who find themselves in need of representation in this arena. I am honored to now call Kenny my friend and he continues to impress me by following up on my care after the case has concluded and he has been paid. Kenny is a credit to his profession and an invaluable asset to the firm! If the partners know what they are doing, it won't be long before they are known as Jones Clifford Johnson Johnson & Sheppard! read more

I have been a client of Alex Wong's for the better part of 12 years. I am a police officer and have been injured numerous times requiring six surgeries. The City has always been difficult to deal with but with the help of Alex I have always had the medical treatment I needed, Alex has also had to go to court on my behalf and we have always prevailed.
