I called several times for rates and…read more quotes.Kyle Thomson informed me that they do not accept checks.I found that very disturbing and alarming because I had asked several times throughout the conversations I had with him if they accepted checks and he said yes they did accept checks.Therefore he boldface lied to me to try and get my business.He also claims there are no auto insurance plans available that can be paid monthly or even every six months,which most people do.He even tried to claim in one of our conversations that there are no auto insurance plans available without auto debiting a credit card.He is very arrogant and you can hear it in his voice when he speaks to you.What you need to understand is if they are willing to lie to you before you sign up,it speaks to their character as a business and what will happen in the event that something were to happen or god forbid an accident.I would not recommend them to anyone as I'm am sure anyone of you expect honesty and integrity from any business especially a car insurance business as I do.Besides that a business who is unwilling to be flexible with letting you use the payment method of your choice(or how you want to pay)is not flexible AT ALL,they only care about themselves and not their customers or their customer's safety and well being.They also will not let you speak to anyone else about auto insurance after they have picked an agent for you.This alone speaks the most to me about their integrity.Lastly,the woman who answers the phone is extremely rude to people that call and does not know how to work the phone,literally.

They did offer my a policy with a different company at a significantly higher rate. The Plains agency was no longer going to carry Allstate. I contacted Northern Rockies and they immediately saw that this cancellation was not right, got Allstate to change their decision and kept my policy in force at the same rates as before. I have nothing but praise for this agency and the way the handled my situation as they did not know my but still stepped up and took care of me. Highest Kudos!

Background: We had a wonderful State Farm agent for many years but he left the Flathead Valley and his assistant (Tami Dalager) quit and left the office. The new agent (Brandon Pope) who took over that office was perhaps too busy to ever work with us directly and each time we called, we were received and "helped" by his very rude and abrasive assistant, whose name I cannot remember (a male). After the last interaction, in which the assistant strongly suggested that I was wasting his time, I decided to drop Brandon Pope and asked around for a new State Farm agent. A friend recommended Dan Schneller, so I gave his office a call. I immediately recognized the voice of the person who answered the call - Tami Dalager, from our original beloved State Farm agent who left the Valley. I knew that I would be switching to Dan and Tami immediately. Tami right away recognized me on the phone call, and we spoke about the dilemma I had with State Farm dropping one of our (three) home insurance policies. Tami worked with Dan and State Farm HQ to try and reinstate the policy. I had decided that we could end up dropping our home, (multi) car, and life insurance policies, if State Farm persisted with not insure our one house, which is exactly what HQ decided to do. However, Dan's office did what Brandon Pope's would not - recognized our dilemma with the dropped policy and persisted to hep us, however they could. Tami went above and beyond her role and sought out an alternative insurance company that would take on our house and for a reasonable rate. I was so impressed with Tami's work and the level of responsiveness from Dan's office that we decided to stay with State Farm. While the company/HQ treated us as a mere "number," Dan and Tami did not. I have since called and spoken to Dan directly, expressing my gratitude for the good work that they do to make potentially difficult transactions feel like small-town business. They "showed up" when we desperately needed them to, and our situation with the house (while not ideal) has not overwhelmed us any more over the last year because of Tami's extraordinary efforts. Ultimately, my policy was canceled due to their agency lack of attentiveness to it's clients, and they never informed me of this and only to try and TRIPLE my rate. After finally reaching him the following week to resolve the issue, he was rude, irate and incredibly offensive on the phone. Why in the world would I pay the extra for a dedicated agent when it is someone as careless, hard to reach and uncivil as Dan Schneller? Since then I have heard other complaints from people who have experienced similar from him and also have canceled their policies.
