There's a bike path along the beach that was gorgeous. It was all flat. It was easy to navigate the bike. Two people peddle while the left driver steers the wheel. Two kids can sit in the front and 3 people can sit inside. I'd highly recommend seeing Santa Barbara this way! We found street parking a block down. The bad: It would be nice if the above shade extended out a bit further to cover the kids sitting in the front. It would be nice if there were a shelf in the back or hook for backpacks/bags. We had a beach Bogg bag that we were able to hang on the cup holder. The interesting: They didn't check our license. Checking out a bike was super simple and quick. It was also super simple and quick to return it. I appreciated the ease and efficiency since I had toddlers with me. Helmets are optional.

NOT one person greeted us when we walked into the main area of the store and yet there were THREE employees all behind the counter just socializing with one another. Try the single, tandem kayaks or paddle boards. After you sign the waiver, you just got check in and put your things in the locker and walk to the dock. It's that easy. Grab your equipment and go! The latest workout included sea lions, pelicans, cranes, and waves from other boaters and water activists. Have a great time with friends or relax on your own. It's worth the fun!

I had to call the store to figure out how to apply the Groupon code when booking. It took two tries as there are two codes on the Groupon but at least one of them for accepted. The place was easy to find once you find a parking space. That was a bit difficult either find a spot in the parking lot to the left or tiny parking lot in the right closer to the store. There are complementary lockers onsite to put your belongings in during the tour which was nice. The tour guide gives you a quick tutorial how to paddle for beginners. They go over the map where the tour will go and you are off. There was just 3 of us in the group and we got a choice to paddle out to the ocean or stay in the harbour. We went out to the sea. Our guide was super nice and took photos of us during the tour and emailed or can air drop them at the end. The views were nice as no clouds that morning. We saw a few sea lions and tons of birds. The only recommendation I can say is to update the description as one of the reasons I selected this place was because it was one of the few that advertised a tour for 2 hours. Our tour only lasted 1.5 hours.

This was a super fun, hassle-free experience on a weekend trip to Santa Barbara. It is tucked away…read morein a semi-industrial part of town, but don't let that fool you. They've got all kinds of different bikes and even guided tours. I was able to walk up and rent a bike in the morning without any problem. You can also make reservations and schedule things in advance. The price was reasonable and the bike was in good condition. They have maps with recommended rides and being Santa Barbara, there are few bad options. However if you do this, I would recommend going north. The e-bike revolution has really opened up so much of the biking world, including places that may have really only been accessible to the most hardcore bikers. With pedal assist, even the most fearsome hills are not that big of a deal for the average rider. I rode about 20 miles on my trip, which seems like a lot but wasn't really since I opted for the most powerful pedal assisted road bike. Of course, getting a simple cruiser is also an option if you just want to enjoy a nice ride. Super fun and, highly recommended. Five stars.
