Oh yeah, this is exactly what I needed! After randomly booking this and not really knowing what to…read moreexpect, my son and I showed up on a saturday and were the first appointment. We were greeted by 3 staff members (apologies I don't remember their names). I initially thought this was just a venue to smash stuff but it was explained that this is a mental health venture aimed at spiritual healing. After signing the waivers and donning our PPE, we went in. The wooden structure isn't huge so you cant get running starts or make any long over hear arm movements, but it ended being just the right amount of space to get your smash on. Initially I was caught up in the novelty of smashing things, but a point in time came where that novelty faded and I found myself tapping into an aggression and emotion I did not go there with. It wasn't until I stood there out of breath with my hands sore that I truly understood what this place was for. That session provided a space and avenue for me to truly let go, for just a little bit. If you haven't done that recently (or ever), you need to book a session to understand what im talking about. A challenge was issued to me to put in work on the water heater and I made a decent hole in it but that thing was tough. They sure don't make em like they used to.

Great experience at Remix Rage Smash Room. The site was well furnished with safety gear (goggles, gloves, etc.), tools (bats, sledgehammers, etc.) and objects to smash (microwave oven, water heater, glass bottles, etc.). It was stress relieving and fun with the opportunity to damage and destroy inanimate objects in a normally civilized world. I definitely recommend if in the DMV area.

I went to the Adams Morgan location (being renovated now I believe) year ago when I lost my job and…read moreinsurance. Not only are the staff and doctors invested in actually speaking to you...their records system was computerized YEARS before most insurance based doctor's offices. I visited COH many times after I had lost my job and insurance. They always call you with results and they are happy to explain your options for next steps. And on top of all of that, the clinic is very clean, with a smallish waiting area and friendly to children! You can go here with insurance or without and work with paying on a sliding scale related to your income!

I had to come back and add an update for this place. I received a phone call with my test results…read morelast week. The results came much faster than I expected, which was great. I asked for my results to be emailed to me and was told that this was not possible. Why in 2016 can all business not be done over email, especially if a patient requests that? I asked if it was available over the patient portal app. The answer was yes and that I would be sent an email with a link and setup instructions. Great! Well, a week went by and I never got the email. So I called again this morning and was told to wait an hour to allow an email to be re-sent. I asked if the results could also just be mailed to my house. I was told no, that normally they print the results out for patients to come and pick up. Are you kidding me? I agreed to wait the hour for the email. About 5 minutes later, I received a phone call from them saying that they would in fact mail my results and would send a message to someone else to give me access to the patient portal. Then the kicker was the woman stated "this is not my job or responsibility, but I will help you." I WANTED TO SCREAM. When on earth did that become an appropriate thing to say? I am a paying patient who just wants to lay eyes on her own damn test results! It doesn't matter what your actual position or responsibility is - if you took it upon yourself to call a patient, you ought be prepared to serve the patient. If it wasn't such a hassle to switch providers with my insurance company, I would take my business elsewhere without a doubt!
