I did once drink 6 pints of their keg version in a night, to win a pair of green Worthingtons boxer shorts!

Also, while the staff are very friendly and helpful, there are too few of them - this weekend it took over an hour between ordering food and receiving it.

Ordered a dinner pie for my husband, and a classic chicken burger for myself. His pie pastry was so tough he could hardly cut it, and the carrots were like rubber. They brought me the wrong burger. They brought the smothered chicken burger. I sent it back to get the correct item. Then they brought a grilled chicken sandwich. When I showed them that the chicken burger was grilled instead of breaded, they said that is what the classic chicken burger is. Menu doesn't say this. They refused to make my meal right. We left my husbands meal uneaten and paid for what we received - even though we left hungry. We found a nice place for dinner. Will never eat here again and advise others to avoid it.

It is upstairs in a recently renovated building with large windows overlooking the Bristol Channel, and it is attached to a coffee shop and a little general store. There is good parking out front and a large National Trust lot right across the road. It is quite small with a very simple modern interior, and was mostly empty when we were there on a cold March night. The dinner menu is small, but there is also a lunch menu and all items from both menus are available at any time. We did not have any wine but the wine menu looked good. Only bottled beer is available. One of us is vegetarian/gluten free, and there was only one starter and one main available for her and no desert, but gluten free bread was available. However, she said that what she ordered (the celeriac) was beautifully prepared and absolutely delicious so the limited choice was not a problem. We ordered the hake and the chicken, which were both perfectly cooked and tasted excellent, although the chicken was a little under seasoned. A grind of salt fixed that. The starters and side dishes were perfect. There are a lot of good pubs in the area but hopefully the great location and excellent food will encourage more people to give it a try.
