Not a fan at all. My child attended there for a bit and was treated like a number. Way too expensive for what is offered.

Valencia Community College is a great institution. They have continued to progress and grow…read moresuccessfully. They started off as a two-year degree institution and now they have developed bachelors programs and have a program called "Direct Connect" where if you go into a degree that you can start, but not finish in Valencia, you can continue in UCF and you have a guarantee admission to UCF. It also means you get preference as a future admission in UCF if you want to go into a graduate program. With Direct Connect you can also enroll in UCF, but take classes in Valencia, if transportation or location is an issue for you; and these courses count as UCF credits. Finally, not only do they continue to grow and have 4 campuses between Osceola Campus and Orange County, with several attainable degrees, they also offer financial aid programs, scholarships and grants. Actually, they have around 25,000 students you get grants. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HY152HAuJFg) Finally, they offer online classes and have several programs to help students be able to succeed in the academia.

So if you are not around that age group...I suggest you go somewhere else. They need to work on making the students feel more welcomed. The career center counselor is an A-hole and he will make you feel like you can't make it in life. He needs to work on how to talk to people. The cafeteria doesn't make your food with love. Plus some of the professors are not doing a good job on helping students learn. You will leave confused out of these classes. On the plus side the Library staff is great and the writing center. They will make sure to help you in whatever you need. This used to be such a great campus but now I am just never coming back for sure.

My experience in the networking program has been extremely disappointing, mainly because of how…read morepoorly the class is taught. My networking services teacher has been the biggest obstacle to actually learning the material, as he mostly assigns tests instead of teaching and constantly rushes us through assignments when we want time to slow down and study. There is little to no real instruction, which has destroyed the morale of the class and left students feeling frustrated and lost. None of the dual enrollment students enjoy the class, and many of us, including myself, have had our passion for networking completely drained because of it. The lack of support and terrible teaching has made the learning environment unbearable, and as a result, this class has pushed me away from wanting to pursue a career in the networking field altogether. Many student share frustrations with other Otech programs, do not go to this awful college.

I attended their medical lab assisting program and it was a horrible experience. Medical lab…read moreassisting is for one whole semester. I began the program January 2021 and found out we did not have a teacher. However, since a sector of it was phlebotomy, we were put into the phlebotomy program which was another tech program until they were able to find a teacher. The phlebotomy teacher, Mrs. Rogers, was an amazing teacher who taught me everything I needed to pass the RPT. Her help made me pass the RPT. However since phlebotomy lasts only one month, we were taken out of the phlebotomy program and was given a sub. For two weeks, we were given no work, no teacher, and no help. From my point of view, we were in a class for eight hours doing nothing, but we needed to be there for the hours. The sub would get mad at the high schoolers for talking, but what do you expect for them to do, even I can't sit and do nothing for eight hours straight. The sub would get mad and call administration on them when I clearly see they did nothing wrong. I feel absolute remorse for them. One day admin came in to address the subs complaint about the high schoolers, but none of them were present due to the fact that it was the day before spring break. However, there was one high schooler, and she was the quiet one that never talked. Admin came in the room and accused her of things she did not do and was showing discrimination towards her. This high schooler was Asian, and the admin kept asking " are your eyes open", "open your eyes" and more towards her. As an adult and as a mother I would never let anybody disrespect my daughter like that. If that was my child, I would make sure that admin gets fired. We were finally given an online teacher and some admin came in and promised us we will get lab time and shown how to use the equipment. However, I paid to be face to face because that's how I learn. When it come to sciences, I think to face to face helps out understand the concept than just reading it. You need someone to explain the topic. When it came close to the end of the semester, we never had any hands on and lab until the day before the certification exam. No one told us how to take the test or sign up for it. We found out through a testing admin saying that none of us signed up for the CMLA, BUT NO ONE SHOWED US HOW TO BECAUSE WE NEVER HAD AN ACTUAL TEACHER. The online teacher tried helping us by giving a practice test, but when it came to the actual exam, NONE OF THE QUESTIONS ON THE PRACTICE TEST WAS ON THE CERTIFICATION EXAM. As an adult, I feel like this program was a complete waste of my time. I gained no knowledge, no experience, and just nothing. Do not attend this Program.

Those who live in Orlando tend to know a good bit about Disney. Disney University is located behind The Magic Kingdom where the MK Cast Members park every day. Going through Disney University is mandatory for every Cast Member, no matter how big or small the role may be. When hubby (John S.) started working for Disney, he spent his first four days at Disney University and he said he had a blast and they went out of their way to make it a fun experience. Leave it to Disney to pay you for having fun! This is where they teach you all things Disney like saying, "Have a magical day," and pointing with either 2 fingers or your entire hand... never, ever point with just one finger. Pay attention next time you're at Disney, you should never see a Cast Member point with just one finger. They learn all kind of neat things about Walt himself and Disney history too. They even incorporate little games and give out prizes. We have two really cute Disney figurines from hubby answering questions correctly. Like I said, it's "behind the scenes" and something you'll never experience unless you happen to go to work for Disney World, but I wanted to review it because I know there are many people who are interested in what happens behind the magic at Disney. =)

The school has grown by leaps and bounds not only in size but also in quality of education due to increased funding. The Lake Nona location is somewhat of an architectural revelation of neo classical modern architecture of mixing breaks wood metal glass into a true joy for the eyes to see. The inside of the school is no less stellar than the outside. I'll be at a bar from Large location, it is an excellent school and it serves The community locally well for now. Valencia did take the initiative and forgot to purchase excess of land around the school so there is ample room for parking as well as additional expansion of the school. My only concern is that they did not initially build the school large enough to handle the huge population growth here in the lake Nona area. With that all being said the staff is stellar, I know many of the instructors there personally and there's a great deal of pride taken by the school in this new location.

I am told that the mornings are the best time to visit the Answer Center, and I agree. There was a very short wait and the atmosphere and environment was superbly stress free. This campus is located in the growing Lake Nona area right next to Lake Nona High and is state of the art and very clean. I would give them 5 stars, but there are not many classes offered at this location. Bummer for me because I live in Lake Nona, but at least I was able to transfer in at this location no muss, no fuss.
