Exceptional Representation from Start to Finish…read more Working with Gary Morris was one of the best decisions I've ever made. From our very first consultation, they were attentive, strategic, and genuinely committed to understanding every detail of my case. They walked me through the legal process with clarity and patience--breaking things down in a way that made me feel informed and confident every step of the way. Their communication was consistent, their professionalism was top-tier, and when it came time to show up in court? They were absolutely prepared and commanding. What really stood out to me was their integrity. I never felt like "just another client." They advocated for me like they truly cared about the outcome, and it showed. The results exceeded my expectations, and I'm incredibly grateful. If you're looking for an attorney who's sharp, dependable, and relentless in the pursuit of justice--this is the one. I'd recommend Gary Morris without hesitation to anyone who needs strong, trustworthy legal representation.

I hired Kevin Sullivan of Peoria for a federal Clean Air Act matter. He quoted $50,000 to handle…read morethe entire case. I paid $25,000 upfront. In my experience the representation was extremely limited, roughly two hours of work. He took no notes that could be provided to subsequent counsel. Despite multiple phone and in-person requests, I never received any invoice or detailed billing statement, and I received no refund of any unearned portion of the $25,000. I had to retain other attorneys (including counsel from Sidley Austin and a North Carolina firm) to dig out of the situation, at a total cost approaching $1 million. I later received a full presidential pardon from the President of the United States for the underlying charges. Prospective clients should insist on clear written fee agreements, regular detailed billing, and actual work product before paying large retainers. My experience was highly unsatisfactory.

I retained Kevin Sullivan expecting competent criminal defense. What I received instead was total…read morenon-performance. Over the course of my representation, no meaningful discovery review was done, no strategic analysis was provided, and no serious negotiation with the prosecution occurred. I personally organized and presented the discovery in my case, which was largely disregarded. Despite this, I was repeatedly told that achieving a reasonable outcome was "impossible." Shortly thereafter, Mr. Sullivan withdrew from my case. Here's the part that matters most: new counsel achieved the exact outcome I was seeking in under one week--an outcome Mr. Sullivan insisted could not be done. That contrast speaks for itself. I'll say this carefully but honestly: perhaps Kevin Sullivan was a strong attorney 10-15 years ago, but based on my experience, he appears mentally checked out, disengaged, and unwilling to put in the work required today. The level of advocacy I received felt perfunctory at best. To make matters worse, despite minimal substantive work, my retainer was not promptly refunded, requiring further follow-up on my end. This experience was costly--not just financially, but in time, stress, and unnecessary uncertainty. If you are looking for an attorney who will actively engage with your case, thoroughly review discovery, and fight for outcomes rather than managing expectations downward, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere. This review is written so others don't have to learn the hard way.

The repairs exceeded the $1500 threshold that provides an option for the seller to withdraw and receive earnest money back if they should choose. After deciding to cancel the contract, the seller's agent refused to acknowledge the cancellation claiming that I "obtained these estimates fraudulently." She also suggested that earnest money should not be returned to me and proceeded to slander myself and my agent. Unable to resolve this dispute I decided to hire Shaun to enforce the real estate contract as written. Shaun immediately reviewed all the pertinent details and provided me with the confidence needed to resolve this dispute quickly. He began the intervention with the seller's agent providing the facts of the situation and the contract itself. Within 24 hours after speaking with the seller's agent, the entire concern was dropped from their side, the cancellation had been accepted and earnest money scheduled to return. Shaun Cusack's sense of urgency, attention to detail, and application of the law are unmatched. I would recommend him every day of the week and twice on Sunday.
