My wife and I Scheduled an appointment over a week ago for Tuesday March 3 2026 @ 1:00pm in Woburn. We arrived at 12:50 to find the Office door Locked waited till 1:15 called the main number they put me on hold till they could find someone said the could have someone there in a little while we left, if that's the way the treat customers good luck. They didn't have the decency to give us a call and let us know they would have to cancel or even have someone at the front desk and they want to handle our money very unprofessional. read more

Very disappointing experience. My wife and I watch Eric Hogarth on Money Wisdom on CH-8 and appreciate his depth of experience and decided to call and make an appointment since we are both about 3 years away from retirement. While we have been with our current Financial Planner from Smith Barney for several years, we thought a 2nd opinion would be prudent at this time. I called the Cheshire office in early July 25 and asked for an appointment with Eric and was told that he is booked up through August, but if we wanted to wait for him, we could book the appointment and get on his schedule for September, which we did because we were anxious to have him review our portfolio and make recommendations. We waited for our scheduled appointment about 6 weeks away, arrived on time and informed the FP that greeted us that we have a 3 pm appointment with Eric Hogarth. He immediately said "oh, I'm sorry Eric is longer taking on new clients". I informed him that when I called to make the appointments 6 weeks ago, I was never told that Eric is not accepting new clients. He said, "yes, I'm sorry but Eric has not been taking on new clients for a while now". While disappointed my wife and agreed to proceed with the meeting since we already drove 45 minutes away and were at the office anyway. We had a consultation and subsequent follow up meeting with a fairly new Financial Planner and upon completion with the process, we realized that we are already getting great investment advice from our FP at SB and as such we decided to stay were we are. This was not a good look for JB. read more

The first time I received a notice in the mail that was addressed to my deceased wife of 8 years, I was distraught. Since her passing, I even moved from Texas to New England to escape my past. But Johnson Brunetti somehow got my dead wife's name and sent me something to my new address, which has NEVER been associated with my late wife's name. So it's a garbage mailer. I called to complain that I shouldn't have to be reminded of my dead wife, and they said they'd talk to their marketing company. But here we are with yet another mailer in my dead wife's name. We don't even qualify for this ridiculous scam of a company. Reading the fine print, you have to have at least $250,000 saved for retirement. Who can say that?! Not the majority of people. So JOHNSON BRUNETTI, TAKE MY DEAD WIFE'S NAME OUT OF YOUR SYSTEM!!!!! read more

We interviewd several advisors over several years and as we approached retirement, we decided to go with Johnson and Brunetti. They made us feel comfortable and confident that they were working in our best interest. I have been with them for 5 years and my husband is approaching 2 years. Matt is our advisor and we have been very happy with the information he provides and his availability when needed. We are also happy with our investment outcomes. read more

Big on hype and marketing, but not much substance. They wanted to put almost half my portfolio in an fixed index annuity with high sales commissions. The more I asked about their strategy, the more prickly they became. With their high 150bp fees, there's no way the investor can do better than an index-fund portfolio. read more

Do not trust this company. They are only out to make money for themselves and have no interest in serving their clients. They sold investments that almost immediately dropped in value while at the same time they made money on their fees. There is no way to sell these investments without taking a huge loss. They set up appointments and then leave you a message cancelling the appointment. I did not even want to give them 1 star because they deserve no stars. read more

In seeking to educate ourselves and we near retirement--and looking for assistance, my partner and I were grateful to attend a webinar by J/B. Maybe we should not have been surprised by the cliched analogies of Vegas, but we were surprised that the presentation employed cliched images of retiring "white" dudes in their "racial- and genderized" social and family positions of power. Use of cliche speaks louder than words. Clearly white guys are retiring, but relying on 1950's images of social and family power structures signaled this firm would not be appropriate for us. read more

I have been involved with JB for several years and am generally satisfied with the investment strategy. I have been disappointed on a few occasions as advice to overload on annuities was inappropriate. The complexities of annuities even after repeated "explanations" perplexes me and I have a Master's Degree. Transparency as to the fees and costs associated with certain investments has been difficult to obtain. Your fee based stock portfolio lacks focus and seems to be more scattershot investing in too many sectors. The REITs have been a disaster and there seems no way out without loosing a bundle. Overall I have made money, but improvements can certainly be made. read more

Tried to meet with a advisor and made some appointments which I had to reschedule for unexpected circumstances that would not allow to make appointments. I called on 11-9-2017 to reschedule a appointment for that day for a 1 page review they always advertise on radio. Individual that answered phone stated that people that handle schedules are in a meeting and she would put me to voicemail. I stated last time I left a message no one called back. She states hold on and Scott gets on the phone and states they will not reschedule the appointment and they won't be able to help us. WOW! What a way to treat a potential client even if appointments were changed. Very unprofessional to say the least. Maybe Scott the scheduler needs to move on. Not the first time dealing with him and he always has a attitude like he's doing us a favor. read more

Met with Christopher Caldwell. Made it perfectly clear on the phone when I made the appointment and when I sat down with him that I wanted to focus on one thing only. Several times In Our meeting I repeated that I only wanted to talk about one potential investment and not disclose all of my personal financial information. After he left the room twice claiming he needed to get some information for me to review together, he came back and said he couldn't give me any suggestions because I wouldn't give him my whole financial picture. That he's a fiduciary and it would be against the law for him to talk to me without knowing all of my financial information. I asked him why he didn't state that from the moment we sat down. He said he didn't understand my question. When I asked him why he wasted my time and his when I was completely upfront on the phone with Marilyn and with him when we sat down, he claimed he still didn't understand the question and repeated that he can't legally offer suggestions without knowing my financial situation. I told him the reason is because that's how they want to reel people In and without having that information they don't want to work with people. Is a potential client really expected to divulge their personal information on a first visit? There is nothing illegal about giving suggestions. That's what the firm advertises. Maybe they should consider building trust and relationships first. A complete waste of time and it felt like a real scam. In fact, I believe it is a scam. Chris couldn't even look me in the eye. He just kept saying sorry I can't help you. They should be ashamed for trying to just capture people and then turning them away when they don't get what they want. read more
