The worst haircut of my life! THE RIGHT SIDE OF MY HAIR IS AT LEAST 2 INCHES LONGER THAN THE LEFT, and I need to be in a wedding this weekend! Horrible fade and he did not even shape my sideburns. I was happy with both of my visits to John's. So far ,so good.Hopefully will be my barber for years to come.I have tried most of the shops within a 5 mile radius and wasn't crazy about most of them.One popular place reused a neck towel on me,another guy showed me all the girls he met on tinder and another just wouldn't stop talking.I do miss the hot moist towel on my neck and the end of the cut from Setauket,but they were always busy and you never get the same barber. read more

Just went to John to fix the train wreck that was called a haircut by the Men's Room in Stony Brook village (worst haircut I ever received go read that review.). John is like a surgeon. Good job with the hair cutting. I can't complain about that. But, like most places nowadays I suppose, it often feels like you're disturbing them and they're doing you a favor. This applies to John or any of the other 2 people working there, of which is a steady revolving door so it's hard to develop a steady relationship with anybody other than John, the owner. Many times you can sit there waiting while one guy is free but he's either too busy on his phone, or sweeping or eating or taking a smoke break or lounging out in a chair in the parking lot. Maybe this is just the norm in this day in age, nevertheless, it bothers me. Again, cut quality is good. If you can put up with the other nonsense, good place to go. If not, please let me know where that utopia is located! read more

George cut me and talked of nothing but women in negative ways, he stunk like garbage and weed and was just overall offensive.
