He also called me "Ma'am," which was safe, appropriate and appreciated as I have completely white hair. There were few people in the store. I paid cash for my gas, then had to come back in for change. By that time, the clerk had a LONG line of customers, and I waited in the back. But the clerk motioned for me to come to the counter, he already had the change ready! I got my change and was out the door; the clerk didn't miss a beat, continuing on with the next customer in line. You've got a winner there, someone who is willing to go the extra mile. Do what you can to hang on to employees like that.

It's quaint, perched right between the road and the shore with a little dock to park your boat at in the summer. They have a decent selection and their prices are fair considering their size and the convenience factor. I don't know why, but I always try to find little things I can "forget to buy" so I have an excuse to swing by once in a while and support this little place. It's been open and closed due to different ownership over the years, but it's always been an icon of the Algonquin Lake area.

I have grown up with huge Asian grocery stores in the Westcoast, and this store is pretty similar to what I am familiar with. Kim Nhung Super Store is a great place to rely on when you're looking for Asian vegetables, fruits, sauces, snacks, ramen, etc. Basically almost everything! The other Asian stores I've been to in GR are good too, but are smaller and have less selections than Kim Nhung (i.e., one wouldn't have produce, and another would have some vegetables and fruit, but less options). They had vegetables, plants, and fruits fresh from the farm, like Aloe Vera, coconuts, beet roots, and Korean Daikon. Of course, they have other fruits like apples, oranges, and pears. There were also plenty of meat options as well. Basically, if you're wanting to cook an Asian dish that involves many ingredients, I would go to this one - with this store carrying a huge selection of vegetables, fruits, meats, ramen, snacks, and dried goods, I would be slightly surprised if you don't find what you're looking for!

The staff allowed us to try a small amount of the feta before purchasing because I wasn't certain what I wanted. He was very patient and helpful as I figured it out. We also got a variety of oils from the olive bar, all of which were delicious. The store was well organized, stocked, and clean. Will totally be doing a dinner night here in the future. Whenever I'm near an Aldi that is not my local one I try to go in to check out their non-food items…read morelike their seasonal gnomes and outdoor furniture cushions. We have 2 Aldi stores close enough to shop at, one is new and we haven't been and the other is strictly grocery/food, so we come to other Aldi to see what they offer and we most likely will even after visiting our new local Aldi simply to see if they have different options. Their groceries looked fresh and the prices are low like expected at an Aldi. All the items in the "aisle of shame" (as it's called by a Facebook group I'm a part of) has a lot of cute items that I had my eye on. Not many staff around but I did see them helping another customer, which was good to know they were there to help if needed. I didn't honestly notice if anyone was working behind a register because I wasn't paying attention as we walked to the self checkout. Something I did find odd, and I guess I overlooked at other locations, was I didn't see any bathrooms. Maybe I overlooked them but restrooms aren't even listed as an amenity on other sites and isn't included in their handicap accessible section despite the entrance and parking lot being listed in that section. Strange that a grocery store may not have one, but I still am a huge fan of Aldi because of their prices, options and easy navigation.

I was just at the 54th street Aldi and was checking out with our credit card when the cashier said…read morethat it couldn't read the card. so he said to try and swipe but still couldn't read. so my husband said out loud I'm not sure why it not reading my card. that's when the rude disrespectful male cashier said in a condescending voice " I'm not sure I'm not the computer" I couldn't believe he was so rude and will never shop their again!!! it finally did read our card and we were able to check out. I didn't have time to talk to the manager or I would have done something then. Also you can't call the store to speak directly with someone because you just get a recording. Don't know why it's so hard to have good service, prices keep going up and the quality of service keeps going down!!
