I expected a gloomy garage with a haircut from a retired landscaper, a bowl and a weed whacker. That IS NOT how it is at all going to Brandi's Place. The establishment is neat and upbeat. It hosts a bunch of barber chairs and an assortment of ladies young and vintage who are ready to tackle my mop. You sign in and wait in a spacious room to be called in for a cut. You get the barber you get. (Don't know about you, but my life has been like that since birth, so it's no big deal for me) The process is quick and friendly. I've been going to Brandi's for four years now. I walk away looking better than I walked in every time. $8. It gives me the chance to be grateful and exercise generosity come tip time. Which leads me to the genius of this business model. Honest hard work for a fair price. They are packed with clients, clippers buzz, chit chat commences and peace falls upon the valley. You could raise the price, but then you would be the $11 haircut place... the $12.50 place... where would that end? I would like to believe that Villagers who frequent this place pay well in the tips so that the price stays flat and the line stays out the door. If you're interested in a decent cut for a price you could brag about, then give Brandi's Place a go. It does what you need and then some.

Lucera, our barber cut both of my boys hair and all I needed to do was show her a photo and she worked her magic. The shop isn't fancy but she worked quickly and knew what she was doing. Kyle cut my hair, When I showed up for my 12:15 appointment I was greeted with "I've been ready…read moresince 12". I asked Kyle to get the hair off my ears and raise the back off my neck. I sensed he was struggling to do as I ask but when he started trimming my top, I said something. He tried to justify it by saying he was blending but why does getting hair off my neck and ears require blending my hair on top of my head? He took as much as 2 inches in some areas. I am now stuck trying to keep my short hair out of my face for the next 5 weeks, even with hair product. Despite my last name, I'm not a professional Barber, but I've been getting this head of mine cut for over 67 years and know when I'm not getting what I ask for. Kyle did not give me what I asked for.
