Care quality: I…read morecame in with a few things on my list to discuss with the doctor one being getting an approval for surgery, signed by the doctor during my appointment. This appointment with Dr. Parimi was on a Friday. My surgery was on a Tuesday. This was the only appointment I could get with Dr. Parimi so it wasn't a question of scheduling to time this better. After discussing my health issues, I pulled out the paper I needed him to sign. He then raised his voice to the point of yelling at me. After glancing at the paper, he yelled, "I'm not doing this today! I'm not doing this today!" I asked him to stop yelling at me. He continued to make a fuss at me about how I should've gotten this to him sooner and do I know what's involved in the pre-surgery signing. He said you have to have an EKG, you have to have an x-ray, you have to have other tests with the anesthesiologist. And I told him that I've been doing those things the previous two weeks and getting myself prepped for surgery. The final thing I needed was his approval and signature. He left the exam room, went to the reception area, back-and-forth a few times fussing and talking loudly about how inconvenienced he was by all of this. He finally got it figured out and signed the paper. I left very upset. Doctors should not treat patients this way. I will not be going back.

*One & Done* Amar…read moreParimi is a dictator. He shouts very loudly when he speaks. He's very condescending. He's very controlling. He talks down to patients for no good or apparent reason. It's even more troublesome when you're not feeling well. He does not listen carefully and asks the same questions over again. He made a big mistake with his notes on my patient portal, that resulted with me having to inform his office. He wastes so much time, while fooling himself he's thorough. He has a "one size fits all" approach and attitude, and clearly doesn't understand nor recognize that all patients have different needs not pertaining to his agenda. After being called in from the lobby, I sat in the patient room for 45 minutes following the 5 minute visit from the nurse. Parimi TALKS SO LOUD I could hear him with other patients throughout the office -- discussing all their personal & private health issues. Yes, the walls are thin. But I couldn't hear the patients -- only loud mouth Parimi. I arrived at 9am for a 9:15am apmnt. I didn't get out of there until 11:30am. Additionally, I spent 30 minutes at home filling out new patient forms & records online prior to the office visit. I spent another 15 minutes in the office filling out more forms asking a lot of the same questions. Then Parimi wasted even more time asking some of the same questions -- all had nothing to do with the purpose of my visit. I was not there for Parimi to "run the show" I was there due to the fact I hadn't been feeling well for several weeks and experiencing rapid weight loss, and shared other symptoms I had. I was concerned. My wife, family and friends were concerned...and was the purpose of my visit. But Parimi did not care nor offer any constructive feedback. He orders & reorders too many labs so he can bill insurance more $$$ I tried explaining to him how I just had an extensive complete blood panel and a bunch of other tests just 2 weeks prior (18 tubes of blood) with a specialist -- at the same lab. It didn't matter to Parimi and insisted on doing more of the same labs over again -- even though results were available for him to view via Labcorp, which I nicely & calmly expressed. Then he abruptly and angrily shouted at me (again) "this is how I do things." Wow. At that point I considered walking out (again) Even my regular tech at Labcorp couldn't understand why I was back so soon for retesting when I showed up a week later for the same labs -- fastening required. Another inconvenience created by Parimi. He'll hold your lab results hostage, even tho they've been completed and ready to be viewed, in an effort to force upon another office visit -- so he can bill insurance again. My regular PCP left the network on Dec 1st so I had to find a PCP for one month, and now wait until Jan 1st to switch to a new Insurance plan in order to continue with my regular PCP. I figured since Parimi is located in the same medical plaza and it's close to home, I'd give him a chance. Was even open to him being a good fit and perhaps continuing with him on Jan 1st In addition, it's nearly impossible to speak to anyone in the office for scheduling or questions. All calls are facilitated by a 3rd party call center in a foreign country, that's proceeded by a game of phone tag going back & forth, leaving messages and waiting for callbacks. Never experienced anything like this from any medical professional located in the U.S. There's a language barrier. Twice they've given me wrong info. And get this, while I was writing this review, they sent me a message on my patient portal referring to me as Mr Rober. Clearly mistaken identity and thought I was a different patient. It's funny but it's not. YMMV but I do not recommend nor trust. Parimi. If you don't know any better, perhaps he'll work for you. I've had experiences with some great PCP's & Dr's through the years. Never have I dealt with anyone like Parimi. And holding lab test results hostage over an overextended period of time? A good Doctor will immediately contact a patient with any concerns about a "specific lab result." Not Parimi. Thankfully I know how to read labs opposed to waiting another 5 weeks for his scheduled return visit "to go over labs." I know what to do better than he does. Worst PCP ever. Shame on you Parimi. The 1-star default is for the pleasant front office staff and the kind nurse Iliana. Post Game: while I was sitting in the lobby (again) waiting to leave after my horrible first encounter with Parimi, a sweet elderly couple struck up a convo with me because they could see I wasn't feeling well and frustrated that I was still there waiting around. When she asked which Dr I was there to see, she made a weird face, looked at her husband, then looked back at me and said "switch doctors." Thankfully, and with some assistance from my insurance agent, I was able to change my insurance and returning back to my regular PCP Jan 1, 2026.
