Griffith helped me recover from a foot injury over a 2-month period - I couldn't have asked for a better physician.

I had a great experience with Kin Foot & Ankle and Dr. Ishibashi for a sports related injury that…read morecame back to haunt me from my past. I played competitive basketball growing up and sprained my right ankle constantly. I taped it, rested a few days, and kept playing. I never did proper rehab, so that ankle always felt a little loose and weak over the years. I'm 34 now and training for a marathon. Once my weekly mileage increased, the old injury started showing up during runs. Around mile three or four I would feel a sharp pulling pain along the outside of my ankle that wrapped into my heel. After longer runs my ankle would swell and feel stiff. Walking downstairs felt unstable and I caught myself limping a few times. I had to cut a couple runs short because my stride felt off. I booked an appointment because I wanted to take care of it before it turned into something bigger. Dr. Ishibashi was incredibly thorough from the first visit. She asked about my full sports history, my old basketball injuries, my training schedule, and exactly when the pain showed up. She examined my ankle stability, watched how I moved, and explained how years of repeat sprains led to chronic instability and tendon irritation once I increased my running volume. Her approach focused on getting me back to running safely. She created a clear recovery plan with bracing, targeted strengthening, and physical therapy to build support around the ankle. Everything felt personalized to an active lifestyle and long distance training. The clinic itself is beautiful and very clean. The facilities feel modern and well equipped. The staff is friendly and organized, and appointments always run smoothly. Dr. Ishibashi is attentive, patient, and easy to talk to. She listens closely and answers every question. I always felt supported and cared for. A few months later, I'm back to consistent marathon training with steady mileage and no swelling or pain. If you're dealing with a foot or ankle sports injury, running related pain, or lingering issues from old athletic wear and tear, I highly recommend Dr. Ishibashi and Kin Foot & Ankle.

I wanted to share my positive experience following my first consultation with Dr. Ishibashi today…read more I am truly pleased and thankful that I was able to schedule this appointment. I initially discovered Dr. Ishibashi on TikTok and messaged her several times regarding my situation. I was happily surprised when she replied, and later learned she was opening her practice here in the L.A area. During the consultation, she took the time to review my history, take necessary x-rays, and throughly discuss the results with me. I particularly appreciate that she listened and took the time to fully understand my situation, which has been a challenging roller coaster ride. For future patients, I do want to mention that there are fees for the consultation, x- rays, and follow up visits if you do not have insurance, but I consider the investment well worth it for the quality of care received.

To start with, Dr. Lehnert was very knowledgeable about runners and what I was experiencing. I felt very confident in his work. While my experience with Dr. Lehnert was very pleasant and he diagnosed the problem - my experience with getting the bill ruined it all. Dr. Lehnert wanted to check the tissue or blood vessels or something on the spot - so he grabbed a little dinky ultrasound machine to look at my ankle for less than 30 seconds. That ultrasound was billed to me at $375. When that didn't show any problems, he recommended I get an MRI. I was fairly concerned about the cost and asked the staff how much it would cost, knowing that if it was very expensive I would go somewhere else and not to where they recommended me. I was told by Dr. Lehnert's assistant "no more than a few hundred dollars." That puppy was billed to me well over $1,100, with my insurance reducing my out-of-pocket liability to around $670. In the end my total bill was over ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS. Next time I will be more aggressive when asking for prices on procedures, as I am the one paying the bill, not some uninterested assistant. Super disappointing for a positive enough experience with Dr. Lehnert.

Doesn't seem to jump on the surgery bandwagon which is appreciated. Felt the orthotics were expensive, but don't have another place to compare them with.

I finally decided to have Amol Saxena do the surgery, which was primarily a bone graft to replace some apparently dead bone. I am amazed at the job done by Dr. Saxena. I had very little pain after surgery, and my physical therapist marvels at the progress of my ankle as I recover. It appears to me that he did an absolutely outstanding job and based on this, if you conclude that you must have surgery on a foot or ankle, I highly recommend him. Having said all that, here are some additional thoughts based on my experience: 1. Get a second opinion before opting for surgery, to ensure you really need it and to ensure that it's the appropriate procedure. 2. Dr. Saxena's staff sort of dropped the ball on scheduling my surgery, so stay on them to ensure they don't let you get lost in the shuffle. 3. I had other issues which could have been avoided. I twisted my knee as I didn't know how to use crutches, and I wish I would have watched some youtube videos on this at the start. I also sat in bed too long without moving, which caused some other problems. So if you're largely stuck in bed, be sure to change position at least once an hour!

For my feet pain, he recommended shockwave therapy, which did not work at all and I had to pay 100% out of pocket. For my second and third visits, he did not even show up to see how I was doing.
