We did not have a good experience with Dr. Green.
My daughter was a teen/young adult at the time and was interested in brain mapping to figure out her brain strengths and weaknesses and to determine if she was having micro seizures.
She was diagnosed on the autism spectrum as a child (Aspergers Syndrome at the time) but Dr. Green kept going on about how he was the only doctor in the area who could diagnose autism.
We already got confirmation of her diagnosis from the Kaiser Autism Center so that is not what we were asking for.
Based on her answers to his questions, Dr. Green said he also suspected micro seizures (at least 50% of autistics experience seizures) and explained the procedure for testing which sounded great and exactly what we were looking for.
At that point, Dr. Green asked my daughter if she had considered ABA therapy which made no sense since she is a highly capable and functional person. We both spoke up and stated that ABA was not something we were interested in and not appropriate. We set an appt to return for another discussion.
My daughter and I have very strong opinions about the damage that ABA causes and my daughter decided to speak up at our next appt. Dr. Green spoke over her and pretty much ignored her concerns.
We left the appt shaking from frustration and the emotional toll of having her concerns ignored. She has PTSD as a result of adults and teachers emotionally and physically abusing her (restraint and isolation) which we told Dr. Green in both meetings.
After this experience, we did not return and we warn other parents not to go to Dr. Green. read more
