He then said your premium will go up NEXT month but never said why, I said I was cancelling due to a move. Now that I have cancelled they say I have a balance past due, due to removing a driver. And while they reviewed the call and admit they did not tell me why I would have the rate increase in the phone call, but because I was told there would be an increase I owe the balance. This is unacceptable, it should have been explained so that I could cancel sooner to avoid the fee. I assumed it was just a general rate increase, if you're assessing fees to clients, you should explain it BEFORE not after.

I am a senior on a fixed income…read moreand have been a customer for at least 20+ years and my policy has had only one name on it for those last 20+ years. But I got a letter at the beginning of the year that told me they were going to put another person on my policy unless I contacted them. Mind you I don't know this person, they DO NOT have the same last name as myself and the only connected is that she previously lived in the same rental as I now live and she also had farmers insurance. I called the last day of the deadline to speak with someone at the office but they were off on some seminar with no one at the office to tend to customers or redirect phones. So I called farmers directly. They told me they had taken her off my account and had stopped her payment from going thru (only my payment would go thru) and said it was all taken care of. The payment was originally my insurance payment plus this persons insurance payment that was $161 per month!! So the next month they charge me again for my payment and the other persons $161 and they won't reverse it. And Chris told me never to call back when I called to complain to him about the charge! So yea they need customer service training! Imagine for decades you just pay your insurance and one day they charge you double and tell you not to call back when you complain! Is that what our world is coming to?

When my husband and I…read moregot married, he suggested I switch to USAA, since he's insured with them for his car and maybe we could get a lower rate? Whenever I think about it, I decide to stay. Why? The customer service! In an age of call centers and impersonal transactions with companies, Dan Knoll Insurance stands out. Before I set up automatic payment, occasionally I would miss a payment. An actual local agent would call me and remind me, take my payment over the phone and they are always friendly. Now comes the best story I have. On Friday, after business hours, I was in an accident. I was scared, unsure of what to do, and didn't have my most recent insurance card with me. I called and it went to the State Farm number and I was on hold for a long time. I hung up and called again, and who picks up, Dan Knoll himself! He was so nice and reassuring and told me what to do. His first question was if I was ok. I felt so much better, and am still amazed you can still get this kind of service, from the owner, after hours, no less! I highly recommend Dan Knoll State Farm Insurance!

I work at a…read moreglass shop and deal with glass replacement claims and Mallory is the best person to work with. She helped me get a customer situated and handled everything that was going on without hesitation. She kept me informed and helped me figure some issues out and didn't even flinch when I asked her a million and one questions. The situation at hand was of course frustrating, however talking to her was the best part about it. I wish that dealing with ALL insurance was as delightful as she made it. She improved my day so much and I appreciate it more than she will ever know.
