Acupuncture of Palo Alto is my go to for health and wellness. Until recently I've used western…read moremedicine whenever I've been ill or or had health issues, but the pandemic and and how it changed modern medicine and the difficulty of getting in to see a doctor made me reevaluate things. I've always been a little hesitant to try something new, but last year I was having some major health issues and a friend encouraged me to try acupuncture. I was introduced to Yaping, the owner and we discussed my issues as well as my hesitation and nervousness on trying acupuncture. She was very patient and attentive and it wasn't long before she settled my nerves and we tried a few needles. I soon realized there wasn't anything to be afraid of and within hours of treatment I could already feel a difference to my health. Since that first visit, I've gone back to see her several times for different health issues: allergies, blood pressure, anxiety, menopause and gastrointestinal problems. I've been amazed at the results and feel so much healthier and am now a true believer in holistic therapy vs taking medicine, having a bunch of tests run that may or may not give the right answers or being told that surgery is the answer. Yaping is a wonderful acupuncturist and really cares about your health and helping you to feel your best and the environment there is very tranquil. With the gentle music playing, the quiet peace and the heat lamps ( optional), I am transported into a meditative, relaxing state. It's a truly tranquil and positive experience.

I initially went in for treatment on my shoulder, had a major surgery the previous year and had quite a mass of flesh down to the bone removed and since then my shoulder had ached and hurt. I am an avid outdoorsman and the pain would spike whenever I was active. I was referred to Yaping from a friend and am so glad, because not only has acupuncture healed my shoulder of any discomfort, but I've also continued to go back now for other issue like mental balancing from work stress, but also blood pressure, allergy and breathing problems. Yaping is a true healer and is a wonderful person. She is kind and a great listener and is very in tune to your body. She offers a wide range of options to aid with healing and caters to what you are comfortable with. I would definitely encourage all to try acupuncture if you haven't done so. I'm a fan!

I was able to get immediately seen within two hours from making call, which was great since my back was in extreme pain. I went and I was comforted with the explanation of acupuncture and how it works. I began the treatment, in which I placed total trust in the session. I had several needles placed into my arm, legs and torso, which I was explained throughout the entire process why it was being done. I really liked that each stage of treatment was thoroughly explained. After the acupuncture, a heat and a kind of massage was included. During the treatment I was asked to walk around, move and see where pain was isolated or located. Each time it was less and less irritation in my problem area, which I was impressed. After one session, I did feel a great deal of improvement, but as explained, is not cured with one session. I do plan on going at least once a week to keep healing my back. This office is clean and staff professional. It's located conveniently off the freeway and off a major thoroughfare. Parking lot is available. Definitely a place I will continue to go.

We booked through the website but Penny said it is better through text so moving forward i will be booking by text or phone call. I read the review with one star but honestly Penny is so sweet and she asks you where is your pain. I feel like she listens to me and where my pain is. Your body is where your soul lives so let's take care of it. Thank you Penny for being awesome

I booked my massage based on availability, not the specific masseuse, and ended up with Rebecca. She was very sweet and asked about any problem areas and my preferred pressure. I appreciated that she checked in early during the massage to make sure the pressure felt right and adjusted based on my feedback. She mostly used her elbows on my back, and in hindsight, I wish I had spoken up more about preferring hand pressure. Maybe that was just part of the Swedish massage style I selected. The space itself is very clean and quiet, which I loved. The room was a perfect temperature with calming music, so I felt really relaxed throughout the session. The bathroom was clean, the front desk staff were kind, and they even have little candies at the front which is a cute touch. It is on the pricier side, but that might be standard for the area, I'm still figuring that out lol. Overall, a great experience and I'd definitely consider going back.

I went to see him because of tendinitis in my hands. I was in my mid 30's by then. He always asked me about my health in general, and one day I told him my medication had been discontinued and the new one they prescribed did not work. That's when he offered to try acupuncture. I laughed at him, but trusted his skills and gave it a try. I remember Dr. Weiss every day of my life!! For years I suffered from what the Western Doctors thought was sick-building syndrome (in the 80s)…read morewhereby it is believed that there are spores in the (typically work) office building HVAC that keep making some people sick. It started within a week of starting a job in Sunnyvale and kept going for years. Every six weeks, like clockwork, I would get a sinus infection which then turned into a cold / flu / whatever that kept me sick for two weeks and out of work for a few days. After seven bouts of this in twelve months, I was getting super depressed and frustrated. I went to ENTs, allergists, all types of Western medical doctors, took all sorts of antibiotics (with their side-effects) and then an acquaintance recommended acupuncture, which saved me (and my sanity). I went to her acupuncturist and I didn't get a cold (or this strange sinus infection - very similar) for almost 18 months. Then I lasted another 15 months before I got a cold. Then my acupuncturist retired and I went to the woman who took over her business. I saw her three times and within two days, all three times, I came down with the two-week sinus condition. Every time. I say "she pushed the right spots, but she pushed them the wrong way". Needless to say, I stopped seeing her. After whining about how miserable I was, my chiropractor recommended Dr. Weiss, who I saw and who saved me from those dreaded sinus infections happening every six weeks and has kept me in such good shape for well over ten years - closer to twenty. No more sinus infections, rarely even a cold, definitely not the flu. I see him every month and get a tune up and I swear by him. He has helped me with headaches, a bad back, IBS, all sorts of aches and pains and ailments over this long time. Some things are resolved and disappear right away and others may take a few treatments, but whatever is going on, he lets me know if he can help or not. Acupuncture works but you need the right person to do it. He is the right one for me, for sure. Everyone I have recommended him to has been very, very happy.
