John is a top notch agent and all around great guy. We moved to Austin a year ago and started looking around for the right neighborhood and right home. John worked with us for a handful of months to narrow down the neighborhood and showed us over a dozen homes during that time. Once we found the right home, he helped us put in a competitive offer and lock it down. If you can secure John as your agent, I wouldn't look any further, he's great at what he does and does it all with a smile. Thank you John! read more

We have had the wonderful opportunity to work with John multiple times. Every single time, he has found a perfect home for us. My husband and I being Architects, we are quite picky when it comes to choosing the style of a home we like. He has always been very patient and showed us homes that he thought would fit our style and budget. He will advice you and guide you very well during your negotiation phase while making an offer. He will have your best interest in mind and communicate well with you in answering all your questions in a timely manner. When the house is in the option period, he will suggest some great inspectors and help you with further negotiation if needed (after evaluating the inspection report). We can't brag enough about how clear his thought process is. He is surely one of the best realtors we have dealt with and would surely go with him for our future buying / selling a home. - Thank you SO much John for all your help. read more

I am so happy that we worked with John to buy our first home in Austin. We ended up closing on the first home that we made an offer on with John. He helped us find exactly what we wanted in a neighborhood that he knows very well, and helped us make the right offer that lead to a successful closing. We're very happy to have our house and very happy that John and his team made the process feel so effortless. Buying a first home is tough because there's so much to learn, but he was with us every step of the way and answering all of our questions as new home buyers. I would highly recommend John to other Austin home buyers! read more

My wife and I were extremely pleased working with John and his team at Juice Real Estate. He assisted us the entire way through our sale. John worked with us in order to renovate our long-term rental property, providing his expertise and reliable network of vendors in order to turn our property around quickly and make it ready to sell. Even though we live in another state and weren't there in Austin for any of the process, John made it work just like we were right there in Austin. Our home was under contract in under a week, and the entire closing was extremely smooth and by the book! John was always accessible and ready to answer any questions we had along the way. We will definitely use John in the future for our real estate needs in Austin. read more

John Dunham - Compass - Real Estate Agents Near Me - Austin, Texas

Rarely have we been associated with such a fine person as John Dunham, who recently was our broker during the sale of our vacation home in Austin's River Place neighborhood. We found John's predictions, knowledge and advice to be consistently correct and valuable. Although our home was listed shortly before the COVID-19 crisis occurred, we received a firm offer in only 12 days! John and the Juice/Compass team were patient and respectful as they consistently walked with us through the sale process and seamless electronic closing. The bonus for us was that John and his team made us feel like 'royalty.' read more

My wife and I couldn't be happier with our new (and first!) home purchase, and I don't think we would've been able to get into the home we fell in love with if it wasn't for John's incredible guidance and assistance throughout the process. We began our home search before the holidays thinking that we wouldn't find a home that we loved until after the New Year. Naturally, we found a home just days before Christmas. In addition, we were heading out of the country for two weeks at the beginning of January. Even with the time crunch, John was able to get all of our ducks in a row, allowing us to enjoy the holidays and our time out of the country. It was such a relief knowing that everything was under control. As first-time home buyers, we were intimidated by the process, and John made it fun and enjoyable. We can't recommend him enough for help with buying a home! read more

As a first time homebuyer - I had TONS of questions and was quite anxious about the whole process. John was extremely patient and very knowledgeable - happy to walk me through any/all questions I had and very thorough in explaining everything to me. With the Austin home market being as hot as it is - John was always quick to react and respond, knowing timing was everything. He always proved to have my best interests at heart - being open and honest with me about things I may or may not like about a particular property, or things to consider. John is extremely professional, approachable and down to earth. Someone that would tell it to you straight - and that takes pride in doing the best job he can in representing you. I would absolutely recommend John to anyone looking to buy or sell a home. read more

John helped us sell our Brentwood house on the first day it listed for well over our asking price! Working with his stager, we were able to declutter and spruce up our house so that as soon as it hit the market it was gone. His whole team was very communicative and responsive during the whole selling process. They definitely know what they are doing. read more

I've never reviewed on Yelp before, but after working with John for over a year to find a house, I had to create an account to give him a great review. Here's why: 1) He's not pushy or salesman-y. My boyfriend and I are first-time homebuyers, so we didn't always know what to look for when viewing a house. John could have taken advantage of that--but instead, he always pointed out the things to be cautious of or look out for. While I was admiring the hardwood floors or a nice backyard, he would be scoping out the foundation and age of the A/C unit. I really felt like he had my best interest at heart and trusted him 100% not to push us in to something that we would regret later on. 2) He's super responsive and focused. We always felt like we were John's only clients although I know that he's a super busy guy. He'd respond quickly to our emails/texts, follow up on all the little details, and remember to touch base when he hadn't heard from us for a little while. (Keep in mind that this was happening over the span of 14ish months - that's a lot of attention!) 3) He's from Austin, and he's got connections. It's fun to work from somebody who grew up in the area, because they know how the neighborhoods are changing and they know a lot of people in the real estate business. John has tons of insider knowledge--he referred us to our mortgage lender, knew the seller's realtor for the house we ended up buying (which is invaluable in this market!), set up our inspection with a really down to earth inspector who taught us a lot about our house, and has referred us to several other professionals who have helped us with replacing locks, etc. Every single referral has done such a great job that I don't even bother to look them up on Yelp anymore - I just know if John referred them, they'll be fantastic. 4) He's just fun to be around! Just go and meet him. After about a minute, you'll understand. Working with John doesn't feel like work, it feels like getting to go check out some houses with a buddy, who happens to know a TON about real estate! Obviously, I can't say enough good things. I would recommended John to anybody who's looking at real estate in Austin! read more

We used John as our realtor to sell our home in Brentwood and then buy our new home in Great Hills. John was amazing. We had a bad experience with our previous realtor, and John relieved all of our concerns! He was super involved throughout the whole process making sure we understood everything with the selling process and got us a great price for our house! In finding our new home, John was really helpful with the communication with the seller and making sure we were getting a fair deal. Overall, the process was really easy and quick thanks to John and his team! We will definitely be recommending this team to any one we know that needs a realtor in the future! read more

John worked some serious miracles for my wife and myself. Both of us owned houses in Brentwood with a specific type of buyer in mind for each house as well as a prescribed timeframe to sell them. John handled it all with ease and got more for our homes than we anticipated. He and his assistant, Jenn, calmly guided us through the process, sold both homes in the set timeframe, and helped us find and buy our new home. Whenever a sticky issue arose John smoothed things over and got us through the rapids with no problem. Jenn kept the communication lines open and answered all our panicked questions immediately, emailing us timelines and resources as we needed them. John and Jenn make a great team and we recommend them highly to all our friends and neighbors. We could not have made a better choice. read more

We needed to move on short notice in December and we had a set of pretty specific criteria for the home we wanted. With the Austin market the way it is thought we would have to rent for a while to find what we wanted, but John's knowledge, advice, and ability to negotiate a competitive bid situation helped us find a buy a house we love in the neighborhood we wanted and below the budget we set. John is professional, honest, and really fantastic to work with and is connected to a network of professionals (inspectors, architects, contractors, etc.) that really made the buying process low stress. If we ever move again from this home we love, we'll be using John. read more

John is a sincere, knowledgable, very hard working and an honest broker. I've owned over 25 properties and have dealt with many agents/brokers. John is one of the finest Ive ever worked with. He is genuine and always puts my interests above his own. He never exhibits any greed when it comes to worrying about his commission like most agents/brokers. This is a very rare trait and I feel lucky to have found him. He is also very good with communication. I rarely wait more than a few hours for a returned phone call. I give John Dunham my highest recommendation. read more

John has now worked with my wife and I on the purchase and sale of our home. It's no coincidence. We needed someone who we knew would be thorough, trustable, and reliable. He quickly sold our home during a slower period in the Austin market (yes they exist), and he did so by being tactical and diligent with the interested buyers. I have recommended John (and his company) to many friends and will continue to do so! I no longer live in Austin, but I still call John with real estate questions. Now I just need him to move to my current city to help me find a house here.... read more

Everyone's always complaining about how long and difficult the house buying process is, especially in Austin. That's because they made one huge mistake: not using John Dunham as their realtor. My fiance and I just bought a house and John's knowledge was absolutely invaluable! He walked us through the whole process beforehand, recommended inspectors and mortgage lenders, and was very responsive to our questions. He lives in Brentwood and knows the area like the back of his hand. With his help, we ended up finding a great house within a few weeks of active searching. If you're looking to buy/rent a house in Brentwood/Crestview, look no further. John Dunham is awesome! I can't recommend him enough. read more

We initially worked with John Dunham of Juice Homes about 11 years ago when we purchased some homes in Austin as an investment. Within the last year and a half, we sold three of the homes through John. He has been incredible to work with. John is always honest, responsive, professional and patient. Buying or selling a home is a huge financial and emotional investment and John takes this to heart. The most amazing, over the top part is that we are out of state and when we were preparing the houses to be sold, John took care of EVERYTHING. He hooked us up with flooring contractors, gardeners, a painter, handyman, someone to stage the place and worked with the HOA (home owners association). He met with the contractors and previous property managers and arranged the timing for everyone to get into the house all while keeping us is in the loop and ensuring that everything met the standards of a very picky HOA. John took care of things that normally would have fallen on us. He made the transaction so smooth and seamless. We are currently buying a home in California and I am stunned with how difficult it is. After working with John Dunham on the purchases and sales of the Austin homes, I thought to myself "no problem, we've been in the real estate market before." It would be a piece of cake. It's more like mud pie.... Thank you for everything John, you made what could have been a very trying process so easy! If we ever end up in the Austin real estate market again, I'll be calling you John!!! read more

A job opportunity presented itself outside of Austin recently and I was quickly preparing for a relocation. I called John Dunham at Juice Real Estate Co. who assisted me through a successful purchase of my current S Austin home. He was the obvious choice when it came time to sell based on my previous experience. His attention to detail, knowledge of the local market and negotiation skills were important knowing I'd be more hands off and focused on my relocation. John went to work right away helping me prioritize the last few projects around my house. He organized all the necessary paperwork from disclosures, list of upgrades to energy audit so all the info was ready for buyers and I wasn't scrambling around last minute. The marketing plan was followed to a T and we received multiple offers the first weekend. The true value add was John's time spent overcoming a low appraisal from the buyer's lender. Some agents might have just encouraged me to lower the price so the buyer's loan would be approved, noting I was still making over initial asking price. That was never John's goal and he pushed back to the necessary channels. He combed through the appraisal report, identifying several inaccuracies and debated comparable sales. There probably was a lot more, but the end result I never had to lower my price, the appraisal was corrected to reflect true value and we closed with original agreed upon price. John's efforts saved me thousands of dollars by looking out for my best interest. Through the entire process John was calm, professional and proactive so I didn't have to worry about things. read more
